Educational Qualification

Essential Qualification:

  • B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing from a university/institution recognized by the Indian Nursing Council; OR
  • B.Sc. Nursing (Regular Course) from a recognized university/institution; OR
  • Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing from a recognized university/institution; OR
  • Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery/Psychiatric Nursing from a recognized university/institution.

Registration Requirement: A valid/renewed permanent registration certificate from the Uttarakhand Nursing and Midwives Council is mandatory by the last date of application. NUI-D card or receipt of registration application is NOT accepted. Candidates who pass the written exam but do not hold a valid registration certificate by the last date of application will be declared ineligible.

Desirable Qualification:

  • At least 2 years of service in the Provincial Armed Constabulary; OR
  • 'B' or 'C' certificate from National Cadet Corps (NCC).

Working Knowledge of Hindi is also required.

Selection Process

The selection is based on a single-stage written objective examination of 200 marks (3 hours duration). There are two papers:
