Two separate government orders dated 20 July 2026 lay out, stage by stage, when institutions must prepare master data, when students can apply for renewal or as fresh applicants, and when scholarship money will actually reach student bank accounts.

What This Schedule Covers

Two government orders were issued on the same day. One, referencing an earlier letter dated 18 July 2026, sets the schedule for Purvadasham scholarship for Class 9 and 10 students, and Dashottar scholarship for Class 11 and 12 students. The other, referencing a separate letter of the same date, sets the schedule for Dashottar scholarship applicable to students in higher classes, meaning those pursuing courses beyond Class 12 in government, aided, and recognised private institutions within and outside the state.

Both timetables follow broadly the same structure: institutions first register and get verified in the master database, after which currently enrolled students apply for renewal and new students apply as fresh applicants. Applications are then checked by the institution, verified by the university or district school inspector, screened by the National Informatics Centre (NIC), locked by the district scholarship committee, and finally paid out through the Public Financial Management System (PFMS) into students' Aadhaar-linked bank accounts.

Important Conditions Students Should Know

  • Verification of genuine students, and blocking of ineligible students, courses, or institutions, will only happen after the master data on courses, fees, and seats has been locked at the institution level.
  • For renewal, an institution can only forward a student's application once that student is shown as promoted with marks in the declared result of the previous year or semester; if results are not out, or the student has not been promoted, the application will not be forwarded.
  • For a student moving to the next class, the institution must correctly record the admission date, the previous class result, enrollment number, and attendance percentage.
  • As soon as university or affiliating agency results are declared, they must be uploaded to the scholarship portal without delay, since this is matched during the scrutiny stage.
  • No application is to be kept pending at any stage. Applications found correct must be verified and forwarded, and incorrect ones rejected, within the notified timeframe; responsibility for delay rests with the concerned nodal officer.
  • When an institution's data is blocked for renewal, the related demand data is also blocked with it, to prevent duplicate payment to any student.

How to Apply for UP Scholarship 2026-27

The steps below apply broadly to both the Class 9-12 and higher-class Dashottar schedules, with exact dates as given in the tables above.

  1. Renewal students log in to the scholarship portal and submit the renewal application online within the notified window, then submit a hard copy at their institution.
  2. New (fresh) students register on the scholarship portal, complete the online application, and take a final printout once submitted.
  3. Students submit the hard copy of the application, along with all required documents, to their school, college, or university within the given dates.
  4. The institution verifies marks, attendance, and eligibility, completes biometric authentication where applicable, and forwards the verified application online.
  5. The university, affiliating agency, or District School Inspector checks the forwarded data and confirms genuine students, blocking any ineligible entries.
  6. The National Informatics Centre screens the verified data, and the district scholarship committee locks eligible records after resolving doubtful entries.
  7. Once the demand for funds is created and approved, the scholarship amount is credited directly to the student's Aadhaar-linked bank account through PFMS.
