Selection Process – UPSSSC Lower PCS 2026

The selection for UPSSSC Lower PCS Recruitment 2026 is a two-stage process:

• Stage 1 – PET-2025 (Already Completed): Only candidates who appeared in PET-2025 and have a valid score card from UPSSSC can apply. Shortlisting for the Main Exam is done based on normalized PET-2025 scores — 15 times the category-wise vacancies (up to the final cut-off mark, up to 2 decimal places) will be shortlisted.
• Stage 2 – Main Examination (Written Test): The actual written examination for selection. Final merit list is prepared on the basis of Main Exam marks. There is no interview.

Follow these step-by-step instructions to successfully submit the UPSSSC Lower PCS Online Form 2026:

1. Visit the official UPSSSC website at upsssc.gov.in and go to the Live Advertisement Segment on the homepage.
2. Click on Advertisement No. 07-Exam/2026 (UPSSSC Lower PCS 2026) to download/view the notification PDF.

Application Correction (Amendment)

After final submission, candidates can correct only the following permitted fields:

• Correspondence address
• EWS and horizontal reservation category details (D.F.F., Divyang/P.H., Ex-Servicemen, Gender, Outstanding Sportsperson)
• Mandatory/preferred educational qualification details entered in the application
• Marital status

Correction is allowed only till 25 June 2026. No separate application for correction will be accepted after this date.

Important Instructions for Candidates

• Only UP domicile candidates are eligible for reserved category benefits. Non-UP domicile candidates will be treated as General (Unreserved).
• EWS candidates must hold a valid EWS certificate issued between 01-04-2026 and 18-06-2026 (based on FY 2025-26 income, valid for FY 2026-27), as per UP government format.
• For female candidates of UP, only the father's side caste certificate will be accepted.
• The date of birth recorded in the High School (Class 10) certificate will be the only accepted proof of date of birth.
