Delhi Electricity (DERC) Online Form 2026 for 19 Deputation Vacancies

Delhi Electricity DERC Online Form 2026: 19 Vacancies

The Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission has put out five vacancy notices, four of them dated 24 September 2026, and anyone searching for the Delhi Electricity (DERC) Online Form 2026 will find that they all work the same way: the posts are filled on deputation, applications go in through the DERC website, and the last date is 26 October 2026. Together the notices list 19 vacancies in 17 designations, from Secretary and Executive Director down to Principal Private Secretary and Assistant Accounts Officer.

This is not an open-market job. DERC is looking for serving officers of Government departments, public bodies and PSUs who already hold the right post or pay level. If that describes you, the sections below explain which notice fits which post, what each post asks for, and what the commission wants to see in your application.

Who Can Apply and the Age Limit

Appointment is by deputation from Central, State and UT Government departments, statutory, autonomous, constitutional, cooperative and local government bodies, and public sector undertakings or corporations under the administrative control of these governments. The legal notice also names judicial bodies in this list.

  • The maximum age limit for a deputationist is 56 years.
  • The age limit is subject to the general guidelines issued by the Central Government or the Government of NCT of Delhi.
  • Age and eligibility are both counted as on the last date of submission of application, 26.10.2026.
  • Only applicants who hold the post as well as the pay scale of that post on a substantive basis are considered eligible.

Candidates from PSUs or organizations that follow the Industrial or Variable Dearness Allowance pattern are not turned away. DERC will equate their pay by taking the minimum of the pay scale they hold, plus dearness pay if any, plus the applicable IDA or VDA, against the Central pay levels required.

Pay, Tenure and Benefits on Deputation

The notices do not print a salary figure. Compensation on deputation is governed by the applicable DERC (Management and Development of Human Resources) Regulations, 2001, as amended from time to time, and by the Department of Personnel and Training OM dated 17.06.2010. The regulations are available on the DERC regulations page.

Tenure

A deputation appointment runs for not more than three years in the first instance. It can be extended or renewed up to a maximum of six years at the discretion of the Commission, based on the performance appraisal report and subject to the concurrence of the parent department.

Lease Accommodation

Selected candidates are provided lease accommodation, with a monthly rental ceiling that depends on the pay level. The ceilings are subject to revision from time to time.

Other Facilities

  • A staff car as per staff car rules for the Secretary and Executive Director level posts, with transport allowance and vehicle support for official meetings and movements for every level.
  • Opportunities to attend training programmes, conferences, professional seminars and study tours in India and abroad.
  • Medical allowance or facility, residential telephone reimbursement, internet facility, newspapers and periodicals, and children education allowance, where these are not already availed from another source.

How Candidates Will Be Chosen

The notices do not describe a written exam or a marking scheme. What they do say is that meeting the minimum eligibility does not entitle anyone to be considered or called for an interview, and that more stringent criteria may be used to short-list candidates for a skill test or interview. Canvassing in any form is a disqualification, and DERC will not correspond with applicants.

The commission can also change the number of vacancies or decide not to fill any of them. If that happens, no action is taken on applications received, and the advertisement is treated as withdrawn.

How to Apply

Applications are accepted in online mode only, through a provision on the DERC website. Follow these steps:
