Educational Qualification

• Full-time regular 3 or 4 year Diploma in Electrical / Electrical and Electronics Engineering from a State/Central Government recognized institute with a minimum of 60% marks.
• OR B.E. / B.Tech. / B.Sc. Engineering in Electrical / Electrical and Electronics Engineering with a minimum of 50% marks.
• OR AMIE in Electrical / Electrical and Electronics Engineering with a minimum of 50% marks from the Institution of Engineers (India), Calcutta.
• Candidates must have passed the above qualification on or before the last date of online registration i.e. 10 May 2026.
• Knowledge of Punjabi language at least at Matriculation level or equivalent is mandatory.

Age Limit

• Minimum Age: 18 years
• Maximum Age: 37 years (as on 01 January 2026)
• SC / Backward Class candidates: 5 years relaxation over the maximum age limit.
• Physically Handicapped (PwD) candidates: 10 years relaxation over the maximum age limit.
• Ex-Serviceman (Self): Relaxation as per Punjab Government rules — actual age minus period of armed forces service, and if resultant age does not exceed maximum limit by more than 3 years, eligible.
