Application Fee

Age Limit

The upper age limit for all 8 posts is 35 years. Age relaxation is applicable as per government guidelines: 5 years for SC/ST candidates, 3 years for OBC candidates, and 10 years for PwBD candidates, wherever a vacancy is identified for that category. Age relaxation is also available to Ex-Servicemen as per government norms. All computations of age, experience and qualification will be done with reference to the last date of receipt of the online application.

Remuneration

The approximate Cost to Company (CTC) for the posts listed in this recruitment is Rs. 11,00,000 per annum. This includes fixed and variable components, HRA, Mediclaim cover for self, spouse, dependent parents and two children, performance-based variable pay, and satisfactory service grant. The notification specifies that this remuneration figure is indicative only, and the actual amount will depend on experience, place of posting and other terms and conditions of appointment.

Selection Process

NGEL reserves the right to conduct a multistage selection process, which may include application shortlisting, a Written Test, Group Discussion or Interview, depending on the number of eligible applicants. Two scenarios are outlined in the notification.

If a Computer Based Test (CBT) Is Conducted

The CBT will be a bilingual, multiple choice test with 100 questions over a duration of 2 hours, and will carry negative marking of one-fourth mark for every wrong answer. It will have two sections: Section 1, the Subject Knowledge Test (SKT), covering discipline-specific questions, and Section 2, the Aptitude Test (AT), covering numerical ability, reading comprehension, reasoning, general awareness and data interpretation. The online CBT will be held at Kolkata, Chennai, Delhi, Mumbai, Vishakhapatnam, Gandhinagar/Ahmadabad, Lucknow, Jaipur, Bhopal and Raipur. Shortlisted candidates from the CBT will then be called for an interview.

If No CBT Is Conducted

In case no CBT is held, shortlisting will be based on age, qualification and experience, and shortlisted candidates will be called directly for an interview.

Additionally, 5 marks are awarded for fulfilling the minimum required experience, plus 1 mark for each year of additional experience up to a maximum of 10 marks. The final offer of appointment will be based on a candidate's relative rank in the merit list prepared from the cumulative score. Joining is subject to the candidate being declared medically fit by a specified government hospital.

PwBD Reservation and Identified Disabilities

Of the 147 vacancies, 14 are reserved for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD), inclusive of backlog vacancies, split as 7 posts across Civil, Electrical, Mechanical and Safety, and 7 posts across HR, Finance, CSR and Rajbhasha.
