Vacancy Details and Pay Scale
The recruitment covers 1174 posts of Assistant Grade-III, carrying a pay scale of Rs. 5200-20200 with Grade Pay Rs. 1900 under the sixth pay commission structure, which corresponds to pay matrix level Rs. 19500-62000 under the seventh pay commission.
Reservation is applicable as per Madhya Pradesh government rules: 16 percent for SC, 20 percent for ST, 27 percent for OBC (of which 13 percent remains sub-judice before the Madhya Pradesh High Court in connection with Writ Petition 5901/2019, so results for this portion will be declared provisionally), and 10 percent for EWS. Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- Graduation in any discipline from a recognised university.
- A CPCT score card from the MP Agency for Promotion of Information Technology (MAP-IT), or any other agency recognised by the state government.
- A one-year diploma course in Computer Application from an institution recognised by the Madhya Pradesh government. This includes diplomas from a UGC-recognised university or open university, a NIELIT-level examination, courses from a Government Polytechnic College, or a one-year COPA certificate from a Government ITI. Degrees such as B.E./B.Tech (CSE/IT), MCA, BCA, M.Sc. (IT/CS), or B.Sc. (IT/CS) are also accepted as equivalent qualifications.
All the qualifications listed above must be completed on or before the last date of the online application.
Nationality and Other Conditions
Only Indian citizens are eligible to apply. A candidate with more than one living spouse is not eligible for appointment. A candidate having more than two children, where one child was born on or after 26 January 2001, is also not eligible, subject to the exceptions specified in the notification. Every candidate must submit a medical fitness certificate from a District Medical Board, which can be furnished within 30 days of joining if not available at the time of appointment.

The minimum age required is 18 years. Candidates from other states falling under OBC, SC, or ST categories will be treated as Unreserved for age and reservation purposes. Ex-servicemen get age relaxation equal to their military service period, subject to the resulting age not exceeding the upper limit by more than three years. Employees working on contract in the MP High Court or district courts, in an equal or higher post for at least five years, get relaxation equal to their contract period, provided their age does not exceed 55 years.
Selection Process
Selection takes place in two stages:
- Online Preliminary Examination - 100 marks, used to shortlist candidates for the skill test.
- Hindi Typing Skill Test - 50 marks, qualifying in nature for final selection.
Candidates within roughly five times the number of vacancies in each category (including all candidates tied at the cut-off), based on their preliminary exam score, will be called for the skill test. Marks scored in the preliminary exam are used only for screening and are not counted toward the final merit list.

The exam is objective type (multiple choice), and candidates get 120 minutes to attempt all 100 questions.
Hindi Typing Skill Test
Candidates who qualify the preliminary exam must clear a Hindi typing test of 350 words approximately, to be completed in 10 minutes on the Remington Gail keyboard layout in unrestricted mode, carrying 50 marks. Typing is evaluated on speed and accuracy, with 0.50 marks deducted for every missed word or error, and 0.10 marks deducted for every backspace used. Candidates must score at least 55 percent (Unreserved and OBC), 45 percent (SC), 40 percent (ST and PwBD), or 49.5 percent (EWS) to qualify.

Candidates do not have the right to demand a particular district or post, and no representations for district change will be entertained after counselling.
