NPCIL Narora Apprentice Online Form 2026 for 80 Trade, Diploma and Graduate Apprentice Posts

NPCIL Narora Apprentice Online Form 2026 - 80 Posts

Narora Atomic Power Station in Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh, run by Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL), has released the NPCIL Narora Apprentice Online Form 2026 for 80 apprenticeship seats under Advertisement No. NAPS/HRM/APPRENTICE/02/2026. Seats are open to ITI holders (Trade Apprentice), diploma holders (Diploma Apprentice) and graduates (Graduate Apprentice). The online application window runs from 29 October 2026, 10:00 AM to 18 November 2026, 4:00 PM.

This is an apprenticeship under the Apprentices Act, 1961, not a regular appointment. The training lasts a maximum of 12 months and carries a monthly stipend. The notification states clearly that NPCIL has no obligation to offer a job at the end of the training, so candidates should apply with that expectation. What makes this notice different from many others is the two-portal process: you must register on a national apprenticeship portal first and then apply separately, using a specific Establishment ID. That is covered in detail below.

How the Two-Step Registration Works

Most candidates lose time here, so it helps to understand the process before starting. First, you register yourself as a candidate on a national portal: Trade Apprentices on the NAPS 2.0 Portal, and Diploma and Graduate Apprentices on the NATS 2.0 Portal. Registration needs your documents to be uploaded, and you must make sure your Aadhaar is linked with your bank account.

Second, you apply on the NPCIL careers website and also apply for Narora Atomic Power Station through the matching Establishment ID on your portal. The notification warns that applications will not be accepted if you do not apply under the respective Establishment ID.

Seats for Persons With Benchmark Disabilities

PwBD candidates must have a disability of 40 percent or more. The notification lists the disability types identified for each trade and discipline, and the list differs from one to the next. For example, Trade Apprentice seats in ITI Fitter and ITI Electrician are identified for Deaf, Dumb, Deaf and Dumb, Low Vision and One Leg, while ITI Electronics Mechanic also includes Both Legs. If you are a PwBD candidate, check the exact list for your discipline in the official notification before applying.

Selection Process

The notification does not mention a written test, interview or physical test. Selection works in the following way:

  1. Local preference: First preference goes to eligible candidates living within a 16 km radius of Narora Atomic Power Station, Narora, District Bulandshahr, subject to reservation criteria. If enough eligible local candidates are not found as per the category-wise distribution, eligible candidates from outside the local area are considered.
  2. Shortlisting: Candidates are shortlisted on the percentage of marks obtained in their respective trade or discipline.
  3. Tie on percentage: The candidate born earlier is considered first.
  4. Tie on date of birth: The candidate with the higher percentage in matriculation (10th) is placed higher on the merit list.

If your result is in CGPA, GPA, SGPA or letter grades, you must produce a conversion certificate from your institute. Where the institute does not provide a formula, the notification uses the following equivalents:

Percentage 10 Point Scale 9 Point Scale 8 Point Scale 7 Point Scale 6 Point Scale 5 Point Scale 4 Point Scale
55% 5.9 4.9 4.4 3.8 3.3 2.7 2.0
60% 6.5 5.4 4.8 4.2 3.6 3.0 2.2
65% 7.0 6.0 5.3 4.6 4.0 3.3 2.5

Because local candidates get first preference, anyone living within 16 km of the plant should keep a residence proof of permanent address ready. It is required at both registration and document verification.

Physical and Medical Standards

Physical fitness is checked as per the Apprentices Act, 1961 and the Apprenticeship Rules, 1992. There is no separate physical test, but these minimum standards apply:

Standard Requirement
Height 137 cm and above
Weight 25.4 kg and above
Chest expansion Not less than 3.8 cm

Candidates should be free from any contagious or infectious disease and from tuberculosis in any form, active or healed. Engagement is subject to being declared medically fit by the competent authority as per NPCIL requirements. Because Narora is a highly protected area, apprentices are engaged only after submitting a police verification certificate issued by the district police authorities.
