For Arunachal Pradesh and Nagaland, English will be accepted as the local language only for candidates who studied and passed English as a subject at a school located in that state. Category-wise, the 2482 vacancies are distributed as SC 358, ST 240, OBC 600, EWS 303 and General 981. Within these, 42 posts are reserved for Locomotor Disability, 37 for Hearing Impaired, 26 for Visually Impaired and 25 for the d and e category (autism, intellectual disability, specific learning disability and mental illness). The bank has reserved the right to modify the number of vacancies depending on its requirement.
Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Candidates must hold a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized University or Institution. Preferred certifications, though not mandatory, include IC 38 from the Insurance Institute of India, NISM Series V A (Mutual Fund Distributors), NISM Series XXI-A (Portfolio Management Services) and NISM Series XIII (Common Derivatives Certification).
Work Experience
Candidates need a minimum of 1 year of post-qualification experience as an Officer in any Scheduled Commercial Bank listed in the Second Schedule of the Reserve Bank of India, as on 01.08.2026. Experience in the clerical cadre will not be considered for this requirement, and post-qualification experience of less than six months in any single organization will also not count, except where it forms part of current employment. If a candidate's job profile does not substantially match that of a Scale-I officer at Bank of Baroda, their application can be summarily rejected at any stage.
Language Proficiency
Candidates must be proficient in reading, writing, speaking and understanding the local language of the state they are applying for. This is verified through a Language Proficiency Test after the online examination, unless the candidate has studied that language as a subject in Class 10 or Class 12.
Who Cannot Apply
Employees of Bank of Baroda who resigned from an officer-grade position, or exited the bank while serving on contract within the last three years as on the cut-off date, are not eligible. Employees currently working in the officer cadre or engaged on contract with Bank of Baroda are also not eligible.
Nationality
A candidate must be a citizen of India, a subject of Nepal or Bhutan, a Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1 January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling, or a person of Indian origin who has migrated from certain specified countries with the intention of permanently settling in India. Candidates in the latter categories need an eligibility certificate issued by the Government of India.
Age Limit
As on the cut-off date of 01.08.2026, candidates must be a minimum of 21 years and a maximum of 30 years old.

There is no reservation for Ex-Servicemen in the Officers' cadre, though age relaxation is still available to them as shown above.
Pay Scale
Selected candidates will be placed in the JMG/Scale-I grade with the pay scale 48480-2000/7-62480-2340/2-67160-2680/7-85920. One advance increment will be granted to selected candidates who have one year or more of work experience as an Officer in a Scheduled Commercial Bank. In addition to basic pay, officers are entitled to allowances and benefits as per the bank's policies, governed by the industry-level bipartite settlement applicable to bank officers.
Probation and Service Bond
Selected candidates will be on probation for 12 months from the date of joining. They must also execute a service bond requiring them to serve the bank for a minimum of 3 years after joining, or pay an amount equal to three months' gross salary, subject to a cap of Rs.2 lakh, if they leave before completing three years of active service.
Location of Posting
Selected candidates will be posted within the state for which they applied for the first 12 years of service, or until their promotion to SMGS-IV grade, whichever comes first. After that, they may be posted by the bank to any branch or office in India at its discretion.
Selection Process
Selection is based on an online test, followed by a Group Discussion and/or Personal Interview for candidates who qualify in the online test. The bank may also conduct a psychometric test or any other assessment it deems suitable.

The English Language section is qualifying in nature and its marks are not counted toward the final merit list. All other sections are available bilingually in English and Hindi, with separate timing for each section. There is a penalty of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer, while unattempted questions carry no penalty.
Group Discussion and Interview
Candidates shortlisted after the online test will be called for Group Discussion and/or Personal Interview based on the number of vacancies and cut-off criteria. The minimum qualifying marks for GD/PI are 60 percent for General category candidates and 55 percent for Reserved category candidates. Candidates not clearing the GD/PI stage will not be considered for final selection.

General Rules
- Candidates can apply for one state only. Multiple applications will result in only the last valid, complete application being retained; fees paid for other registrations will be forfeited.
