These posts are categorized as Support Staff, expected to provide skilled assistance to scientific and technical staff at CSIR. Pay Scale
The Technician (1) post carries Group-C, Pay Matrix Level-2, with pay ranging from Rs. 19,900 to Rs. 63,200 per month. Selected candidates also receive HRA, Traveling Allowance and other benefits at Central Government rates, along with Leave Travel Concession and reimbursement of medical and children's education expenses as per CSIR rules. New entrants will be covered under the National Pension System (NPS).
Selection Process
The CSIR Technician selection process has three stages:
- Screening: Applications received within the stipulated period are screened by a Screening Committee.
- Trade Test: Shortlisted candidates are called for a Trade Test, which is qualifying in nature.
- Written Examination: Candidates who qualify the Trade Test appear for a competitive written examination comprising Paper-I, Paper-II and Paper-III.
