LIC HFL Apprentice Online Form 2026 for 232 Apprenticeship Seats
LIC Housing Finance Limited has opened its Apprenticeship Program-010, and the LIC HFL Apprentice Online Form 2026 can be filled from 20 October 2026 to 1 November 2026. The notification covers 232 apprentice seats in cities and towns across the country, open to fresh graduates of any stream who are between 20 and 25 years old. This is a 12-month training engagement with a monthly stipend, not a regular job, and the process has a few steps that are easy to miss: registration on a government portal first, then a separate email, fee payment and online exam handled by the BFSI Sector Skill Council of India.
Last Date: 2026-11-01 23:59:00
What This Apprenticeship Is and What It Is Not
LIC HFL invites fresh graduates from any Indian university or institute recognized by UGC or AICTE to work as apprentices in its various offices. The company describes the programme as on-the-job training that helps graduates build soft skills, domain knowledge and real work experience so that they become industry ready.
The notification is blunt about the nature of the engagement. Apprenticeship is not employment, apprentices are not employees, and LIC HFL is not obliged to provide full-time employment to them. What you do get is a stipend for 12 months and, on successful completion, a Proficiency Certificate issued by BOAT. Apprentices can also approach the BFSI Sector Skill Council of India for information on placement opportunities in banks, financial services, insurance companies and other BFSI sector companies, depending on the vacancies available at that time.
If you are looking for a permanent position, read this notice with that expectation in mind. If you want a structured year of exposure to housing finance work, it is worth a close look.

Important Dates
The whole schedule is short. From the opening of applications to the interview, the notification allots roughly four weeks, so there is little room to delay the fee payment.
| Step | Event | Date |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Applications invited | 20 October 2026 to 1 November 2026 |
| 2 | Last date to pay examination fee to BFSI SSC | 1 November 2026 |
| 3 | Online entrance examination | 7 November 2026 |
| 4 | Document verification and personal interview for shortlisted candidates | 15 November 2026 |
| 5 | Engagement letters issued to final selected candidates | Tentatively 3rd week of November 2026 |
| 6 | Reporting at the LIC HFL branch for training | Tentatively 4th week of November 2026 |
How the Application Works: Two Portals, Two Stages
Most people expect one form and one payment. Here the application is split between two bodies, and skipping either stage means you are out of the process.
Stage One: Registration on the NATS Portal
Eligible candidates must first register themselves on the Government of India apprenticeship portal, the NATS portal, using its Student Register/Login section. If you face trouble registering, the notification points to the Candidate User Manual, available as a student manual on the same portal. After logging in, candidates can view the LIC HFL apprenticeship advertisement and apply for it. NATS issues an Enrolment Id, and the notification stresses that you should note it down for all future correspondence.
Stage Two: Application and Fee Payment with BFSI SSC
Once you have applied successfully on NATS, you will receive an email from BFSI SSC, sent from info@updates.bfsissc.com. It invites you to fill a detailed application, give your choice of districts for training and pay the fee. Payment and the submission of additional information happen on the BFSI SSC portal, and the last date for this is 1 November 2026.
The notification also advises candidates to keep their login IDs and passwords for the apprenticeship portals safe, because they will be visiting these portals repeatedly for various activities until the apprenticeship ends.
Application Fee
Every candidate pays an application, intimation and examination charge, and it is collected by BFSI SSC through a secure online payment link in the application form. No other mode of payment is accepted.
| Category | Fee |
|---|---|
| SC and ST candidates | Rs.200 plus GST |
| PwBD candidates | Rs.200 plus GST |
| General, EWS and OBC (Male) candidates | Rs.800 plus GST |
| General, EWS and OBC (Female and Transgender) candidates | Rs.600 plus GST |
The fee is non-refundable. It will not be returned whether or not you attend the test and whether or not you are shortlisted. It also cannot be held in reserve for another exam or adjusted against any other engagement process, and an application once made cannot be withdrawn.
Eligibility Criteria
| Criteria | Requirement |
|---|---|
| Age (as on 1 October 2026) | 20 to 25 years |
| Educational Qualification | Graduation in any stream completed as on 1 October 2026, but not before 1 October 2001 |
| Previous Apprenticeship | Must not have a running, terminated or completed apprenticeship contract with any other organization |
The last condition deserves attention. Even if you have already finished an apprenticeship elsewhere, the notification treats that as disqualifying. The notice does not mention any age relaxation, so candidates should not assume one.
Stipend and Apprenticeship Period
The apprenticeship runs for 12 months and is expected to start in November 2026, though the start month is marked tentative. The monthly stipend depends on where you are placed.
| Location | Monthly Stipend |
|---|---|
| Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai, Pune and Surat | Rs.16,650 |
| All other cities | Rs.14,150 |
Final selected candidates receive an engagement letter that states the training branch, the stipend payable and the rules and terms of the apprenticeship, so that letter is the document to read carefully before accepting.

Selection Process
Selection has three stages: an online entrance test run by BFSI SSC, document verification with a personal interview at LIC HFL offices, and finally an engagement letter from LIC HFL. Only candidates who clear the written test are called for the interview.
Online Test Pattern
| Name of Test | Questions | Maximum Marks |
|---|---|---|
| General and Financial Awareness | 25 | 25 |
| General English | 25 | 25 |
| Reasoning Ability and Computer Aptitude | 25 | 25 |
| Quantitative Aptitude | 25 | 25 |
| Total | 100 | 100 |
The total duration is 60 minutes and the test is available in English or Hindi. The notification does not state a negative-marking rule, and says that further details will come in an Information Handout emailed by BFSI SSC to eligible candidates. The date, centre and pattern details will also be published on the LIC HFL and BFSI SSC websites, so candidates are expected to check them regularly.
Exam Day Conditions
This is a remote proctored test taken from your own home. Exam links and login credentials reach paid-up candidates by email on the day before the exam. Because the test is monitored through your camera, a few conditions apply:
- Use your own camera-enabled device. The notification mentions a smartphone with a front camera, and elsewhere also lists a desktop, laptop or tablet.
- Keep a good internet connection for the full 60 minutes.
- Sit in isolation from family members. Except for PwBD candidates, nobody else may be near you during the test.
- Show the Aadhaar card you uploaded on NATS as ID proof when asked to display it for image capture.
Failing to register for the written test disqualifies a candidate from the rest of the selection process.
Rules and Action Against Misconduct
A few conditions in the notification can end a candidature even after you have paid the fee:
- The details entered while registering for the online exam must match the NATS entries. Any change or alteration may disqualify the candidature.
- Incomplete registration is not treated as valid, and no communication will be entertained on it.
- Information given during the process is binding on the candidate, and false details found later can lead to prosecution or civil consequences.
- LIC HFL can reject any application that does not suit its requirements without giving a reason, and calls only candidates who fulfil the eligibility criteria.
For misconduct, the notice lists using unfair means, impersonation, misbehaviour, leaking or reproducing test content and any irregular means to support a candidature. Such a candidate may face criminal prosecution, disqualification from the exam, a permanent or time-limited debarment from LIC HFL examinations and recruitment, or termination from training if already engaged.
The test agency will also compare answer patterns across candidates to detect similarity in right and wrong answers. If responses appear shared or the scores not genuine, LIC HFL can cancel the candidature and withhold the result.
