IOCL Western Region Apprentice Online Form 2026: Technician, Trade and Graduate Posts
Indian Oil Corporation Limited (Marketing Division), Western Region has released Advertisement No. IOCL/MKTG/WR/APPR/2026-27, dated 5 October 2026, inviting candidates to fill up the IOCL Western Region Apprentice online form 2026 on the NATS and NAPS portals. The seats are for Technician, Trade and Graduate Apprentices across Maharashtra, Gujarat, Goa, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Daman and Diu, and Dadra and Nagar Haveli, and the last date to apply is 4 November 2026.
What This Recruitment Is About
This is an apprenticeship engagement under the Apprentices Act, 1961 and not a regular job. IOCL describes it as a skill building initiative for the nation. Selected candidates will undergo 12 months of training, and the stipend is payable as prescribed under the Apprentices Act and the Apprentices Rules as amended from time to time. The notification does not state a fixed stipend amount.
The most unusual feature of this notice is its selection method. There is no written test and no interview. Everything depends on the percentage of marks you scored in the qualification required for your discipline, so the form you fill on the portal matters more than usual.

PwBD Seats
PwBD seats are shown only against the Graduate Apprentice and Data Entry Operator disciplines: 4 in Maharashtra, 1 in Gujarat and 1 in Madhya Pradesh, with none in the other states and UTs. The reservation is applied on a horizontal basis across all categories. PwBD candidates are not eligible for discipline codes 101 to 111, because IOCL considers its work environment hazardous for other disabilities.
Engagement under PwBD is limited to these categories: Low Vision and Blind, Hard of Hearing and Deaf, Locomotor Disability (including Cerebral Palsy, Leprosy cured, Dwarfism and Acid Attack victims), and Multiple Disabilities that combine the above. A valid Disability Certificate issued under the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Rules, 2017 is required, and candidates without it will not be considered as PwBD.

Passing Window for Your Qualification
The timing of your qualification matters as much as the marks. For Graduate and Technician disciplines, only those who acquired the prescribed qualification between 1 April 2023 and 30 September 2026 are eligible. For Trade Apprentices (ITI and Data Entry Operator), the window is 1 April 2022 to 30 September 2026. If your mark sheet does not show the result declaration date, you need a certificate from the Principal of your institute stating the date of publication of the result.
Rules That Can Make You Ineligible
- Part-time, correspondence or distance learning qualifications are not accepted for any discipline code.
- Diploma holders admitted through lateral entry (Class XII Science or ITI into the 2nd year of Diploma) are eligible if they meet the percentage based on all semesters of the Diploma.
- Holders of higher professional qualifications such as B.E., B.Tech, MBA, MCA, CA, ICWA or LLB, or those pursuing them and completing before joining, are not eligible. A declaration is taken at joining, and hiding this information can lead to termination at any stage.
- A candidate may undergo a maximum of two apprenticeship trainings, and the second cannot be in the same trade. A gap of at least one year is needed between two trainings, unless the earlier one ended because of the employer's fault.
- If CGPA, OGPA or letter grades are awarded, you must enter the equivalent percentage in the application and produce a certificate from your institute for it at document verification.
- Candidates registered with a Local or State Employment Exchange or a Vocational Rehabilitation Centre for PwBD must apply through the NAPS or NATS portal.
Age Limit
The age limit is 18 to 24 years as on 30 September 2026. For posts reserved for them, the upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC and ST (up to 29 years) and by 3 years for OBC-NCL (up to 27 years). PwBD candidates get 10 years of relaxation, 15 years for SC and ST, and 13 years for OBC-NCL. SC, ST and OBC-NCL candidates who apply against Unreserved seats are considered on the standards of the General category.
How Selection Works
Because there is no exam, the process is short and entirely merit based:
- Candidates who register on NATS or NAPS and apply against this notification are considered.
- A merit list is prepared for each post from the percentage of marks in the essential qualification, for those who meet the eligibility criteria.
- Shortlisted candidates are called for document verification and must pass the pre-engagement medical fitness test.
- Those whose documents and Pre-Engagement Medical Fitness Certificate are in order receive an offer of engagement for apprenticeship training.
- Seats left unfilled are offered to eligible candidates from the panel cum merit list of the same opportunity.
IOCL advises candidates to read the Guidelines and Criteria for Physical Fitness for Pre-Engagement Medical Examination on the IOCL website before applying. Document verification or empanelment alone gives no right to engagement.
Portals and Establishment IDs
Where you register depends on your qualification. Candidates must register under the respective state and then log in to apply for the IOCL opening.
| Apprentice Type | Portal | Establishment ID |

- Engagement depends on being declared medically fit as per IOCL's requirement and on the Corporation's rules and policies.
- Canvassing of any kind disqualifies a candidate.
- The management's decision is final on eligibility, acceptance or rejection, mode of selection and cancellation of the process, and no correspondence will be entertained.
