Stage I - INET 2/2026 (Indian Navy Entrance Test)

A computer-based test will be conducted separately for Engineering and Electrical entries in August 2026.

Stage II - Written Exam

Stage II - Recruitment Medical Examination

Conducted for candidates who qualify PFT. Final merit list is state-wise based on Stage II written exam, subject to qualifying PFT and Medical. Candidates declared medically unfit can appeal within 5 days at a designated military hospital allocated by the Indian Navy. No further review is permissible after that.

Shortlisting - NCC 'C' Certificate Holders and Sponsor Candidates

NCC 'C' Certificate Holders and Sponsor Candidates who upload original certificates during Stage I application are exempt from the INET exam and will be directly called for Stage II based on eligibility. NCC certificates are verified through DG NCC and Sponsorship certificates through CABS.

Terms and Conditions - Agnipath Scheme 2026

  • Duration of Service: 4 years under the Navy Act, 1957. Agniveers form a distinct rank, junior most in the Indian Navy.
  • Leave: 30 days per year plus sick leave as per medical advice.
  • Life Insurance: Non-contributory cover of Rs. 48 Lakh for the full tenure.
  • Permanent Enrolment: Up to 25% of each batch may be offered permanent enrolment as Artificers at the discretion of the Indian Navy.
  • Ex-Servicemen Status: Not applicable to Agniveers.
