Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Candidates applying for Store Keeper or Record Keeper posts must meet all three of the following qualifications:
- Must have passed the Intermediate (Class 12) examination from UP Board (Board of High School and Intermediate Education, UP) or any equivalent examination recognized by the Government.
- Must hold a CCC (Course on Computer Concepts) certificate issued by DOEACC Society (now NIELIT), or an equivalent certificate from any government-recognized institution.
- Must have a minimum typing speed of 25 words per minute in Hindi and 30 words per minute in English.
Equivalence for Computer Certificate
- Candidates who opted for Computer Science as a separate subject in their High School or Intermediate examination from a recognized board are also eligible.
- Candidates who have obtained a Diploma or Degree in Computer Science are also eligible.

Selection Process - GIMS CBT Exam 2026
The selection for GIMS Store Keeper and Record Keeper posts will be done through a two-stage process:
Stage 1: Computer Based Test (CBT)
- The CBT will be of 100 marks and 120 minutes (2 hours) duration.
- The test will be divided into 5 sections. Candidates cannot return to a previous section once submitted.
- There is negative marking - 1/4th marks will be deducted for every wrong answer.
- Unanswered questions carry no negative marking.

Stage 2: Typing Test (Qualifying in Nature)
- Only candidates shortlisted from Stage 1 will be called for the Typing Test.
- Minimum typing speed required: 25 WPM in Hindi and 30 WPM in English.
- The Typing Test will be conducted as per latest rules of the UP Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC).
- This is a qualifying test - marks are not counted in the final merit.
- Final Merit List includes only those candidates who pass the Typing Test.
Tie-Breaking Rules
In case of equal marks, the following order will be used to decide merit:
- Total marks in CBT
- Date of birth - older candidate gets priority
- Fewer wrong answers / negative marks
- Total marks in main (Hindi) section

- Ex-Servicemen: Certificate in the UP Government prescribed format issued by a competent authority. Must be discharged from the Army by the last date of application.
- Regular government employees: No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their employer.
- Age proof: Only the date of birth as recorded in the High School certificate will be valid.
General Rules and Important Points
- Candidates must fulfill all eligibility criteria by the last date of application.
- One application per post - if applying for both Store Keeper and Record Keeper, submit separate applications with separate fees.
- The number of vacancies may increase or decrease as per UP Government reservation rules.
- No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in the written exam or document verification.
