Candidate must be a citizen of India.

Age Limit (for Direct Candidates)

Age is calculated as on the closing date: 07/07/2026.

• SC/ST candidates: Upper age relaxed by 5 years
• OBC candidates: Upper age relaxed by 3 years
• Departmental (Central Govt.) candidates: Upper age limit is 40 years (General/EWS/OBC) and 45 years (SC/ST), provided they have completed minimum 3 years of continuous service with satisfactory record

Age Limit for Ex-Servicemen (ESM)

ESM candidates shall deduct the period of military service from their actual age. The resultant age should not exceed the maximum age limit prescribed for these posts by more than 3 years.

Educational Qualification

Note: Educational certificates other than State/Central Board must be accompanied by a Government of India notification declaring that qualification as equivalent to Matriculation or 10+2 for Central Government service.

Physical Standards

Note: No chest measurement requirement applies for female candidates. Weight must be proportionate to height and age as per medical standards.

Medical Standards

• Candidates must be in good mental and bodily health, free from any physical defect likely to interfere with official duties.
• Candidates must not have knock knees, flat foot, varicose vein, or squint in eyes.
• Tattoos are permitted only on the inner left forearm or dorsum of the hands, depicting religious symbols or names as allowed in the Indian Army. Size must be less than 1/4th of the body part (elbow or hand).

Selection Process
