Eligibility Criteria
Nationality
Candidates must be a citizen of India, or a subject of Nepal or Bhutan, or a Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1 January 1962 with intent to settle permanently, or a person of Indian origin who migrated from specified countries with intent to permanently settle in India. Candidates from categories (ii) to (v) must produce a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India.
Educational Qualification
- A Degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a University recognized by the Government of India or equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government.
- Graduation must have been completed on or after 01 January 2022.
- Candidates must be registered on the NATS portal (nats.education.gov.in) to be eligible to apply.
- Marksheets and Provisional/Degree certificate must be produced as and when required by the bank.

Other Eligibility Conditions
- Candidate must NOT have undergone apprenticeship earlier in Central Bank of India or any other organization under the Apprentices Act, 1961.
- Candidates who had training or job experience of one year or more after attaining the required educational qualification are NOT eligible.
- No Ex-servicemen or Disabled Ex-servicemen shall be engaged as an apprentice, and there is no reservation for them.
- The apprentice shall have no right to claim employment in the bank after completion of training.

Note: There is no negative marking for wrong answers. The exam will be held from the candidate's own residence on their own device. No admit card or hard copy is required for the online examination.
Test of Local Language
Candidates must be proficient in the official language of the state they are applying for. The language test will be conducted after qualifying the online examination. Candidates who have studied the specified local language at the 10th or 12th standard level are exempt from this test on production of relevant marksheets.
Final Selection
Final selection depends on meeting the cut-off marks in the online examination, qualifying the local language test, successful document verification, and being declared medically fit. The merit list will be drawn state-wise. In case of a tie in marks, candidates will be ranked in descending order of age.
Stipend and Training Conditions
- Monthly Stipend: Rs 15,000 per month
- Training Duration: 12 months
- Apprentices are entitled to casual leave - one per month.
- Apprentices observe the same holidays as bank employees.
- No overtime, no Transport/Hostel facility, and no other allowances are provided.
- Apprentices are trainees, not employees of the bank.
- After completion of apprenticeship, candidates will be relieved. The bank has no obligation to offer regular employment.
- Digital apprenticeship contracts will be issued through the NATS portal after successful selection.
