Selection Process — BPSSC ASI Technical Recruitment 2026

The selection process for BPSSC ASI Technical 2026 consists of three stages — a Preliminary Written Examination, a Main Written Examination, and a Physical Efficiency and Medical Test.

Up to 5 times the number of vacancies will be called category-wise for the Physical Efficiency Test based on marks in Paper II of the Main exam.

Stage 3: Physical Efficiency and Medical Test (Qualifying)

This stage is qualifying in nature — no marks are awarded. Candidates must pass all events separately. Events include:

For High Jump, Long Jump, and Shot Put, a maximum of three attempts are allowed per event. Failing any single event means disqualification from the entire physical test.

Medical Check: Vision, colour blindness, hearing, stammering, flat feet, and knock-knees will be tested. Candidates found with stammering or stuttering will be disqualified. Married women found pregnant at the time of the physical test will not be permitted to participate.

Merit List

The final merit list will be prepared based on marks secured in Paper II of the Main Written Examination (Technical subject paper). In case of a tie in marks, the tie will be resolved by age (older candidate ranks higher), then by educational qualification, then by qualifying exam marks, and finally by the alphabetical order of names in English as appearing on the Class 10 certificate.

Pay Scale — BPSSC ASI Technical Post
