Selection Process
The selection for UPSSSC Platoon Commander and Block Organizer 2026 is a three-stage process:
- Stage 1 — PET-2025 Shortlisting: Only candidates who appeared in PET-2025 and received a score card from UPSSSC are eligible. Shortlisting for the main exam is done on the basis of normalised PET-2025 score. Candidates with zero, negative, or below-zero score in PET-2025 absolute/normalised score are not shortlisted.
- Stage 2 — Written Main Examination: A written objective examination (100 questions, 100 marks, 2 hours). Negative marking of 1/4 mark per wrong answer. 15 times the vacancy count (category-wise) will be shortlisted for the written exam based on PET score.
- Stage 3 — Physical Standards and Physical Efficiency Test: Conducted by the commission for candidates shortlisted based on written exam marks. This stage is qualifying in nature.

Important Instructions for Candidates
- All reserved category candidates from UP must mention their category in the application form.
- Candidates who are not domicile of Uttar Pradesh will not be eligible for reservation benefits and will be treated as General category.
- EWS candidates must have an EWS certificate for financial year 2025-26 and valid for 2026-27, issued between 01 April 2026 to 06 July 2026.
- Ex-Servicemen who are retiring by 06 July 2026 are also eligible for reservation benefits.
- Candidates currently serving in State or Central Government service must obtain a No Objection Certificate (NOC).
- Birth date proof: Only the date mentioned on the High School or equivalent exam certificate is accepted.
- Candidates must not fill false information in the form. Providing false details leads to disqualification and may bar the candidate from future UPSSSC exams.
