UPSSSC Inter Level Online Form 2026 for 1784 Posts
The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Service Selection Commission (UPSSSC) has opened the mains stage of its Inter Level recruitment, and the notice dated 16-10-2026 invites online applications for 1784 posts in 12 departmental entries. This is not an open application for everyone with a 12th pass certificate: only candidates who already took the Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET) 2025 and hold its score card can fill the UPSSSC Inter Level online form 2026. Registration runs from 10-11-2026 to 01-12-2026.
Last Date: 2026-12-01 23:59:00

The PET-2025 Condition Comes First
Uttar Pradesh moved to a two-stage system for its group C recruitments, and this notice follows it. PET-2025 acts as the first filter. Your normalized PET score decides whether you are shortlisted for the mains written exam, so a candidate who skipped PET-2025 has no route into this recruitment, however well qualified.
The notice also says that candidates who scored zero, or a negative figure, in either their absolute or normalized PET-2025 score will not be shortlisted. Candidates whose PET result carries an Under Investigation (UI) or Provisional tag are allowed to apply provisionally. For them, shortlisting and selection stay subject to whatever the commission finally decides in their case.
Because the application is linked to your PET-2025 registration number, much of your personal data, category details, photo and signature are pulled in automatically. That is why the form is shorter than a fresh registration, and also why you cannot alter your photo or signature at this stage.

Post-Wise Vacancy Details

Reservation Rules Candidates Should Know
Reservation applies to Uttar Pradesh SC, ST, OBC and EWS candidates as per the state government's current orders. Women, dependants of freedom fighters, ex-servicemen, divyangjan and outstanding sportspersons get horizontal reservation under their respective Uttar Pradesh rules. A few points from the notice are easy to miss:
- Reserved-category benefits are for candidates who are original residents of Uttar Pradesh. Others are treated as unreserved.
- A candidate claiming more than one reservation gets only the one that is more beneficial.
- For women candidates in Uttar Pradesh, only a caste certificate issued on the father's side is valid.
- EWS candidates need a family income below Rs 8 lakh from all sources in the financial year before the year of application. The EWS certificate must be issued between 01-04-2026 and 01-12-2026, be based on 2025-26 income and be valid for 2026-27.
- A candidate selected under horizontal reservation is adjusted in his or her own category.
- For divyang candidates, posts have been re-identified to provide 4 percent horizontal reservation, so the disability category and sub-category must be marked correctly in the application.

The preferred qualifications only matter when candidates are otherwise equal in direct recruitment. They are not mandatory. Candidates who are in central or state government service must also get a no-objection certificate from their employer and produce it whenever the commission asks.
Age Limit and Relaxation
For most posts, a candidate must have completed 18 years and must not have crossed 40 years on 1 July of the calendar year in which the vacancies are advertised. This covers Commercial Tax Collection Amin, Land Acquisition Amin, Storekeeper and Clerk, Housemother, Saraniyak, Social Welfare Supervisor, Gram Vikas Adhikari, Gram Panchayat Adhikari and Bikri Karta.
Two posts follow their own rules:
- Cooperative Agriculture Supervisor: 18 to 40 years, counted on 1 January of the recruitment year if the posts are advertised between 1 January and 30 June, and on 1 July if advertised between 1 July and 31 December. Candidates already serving in government or in the Uttar Pradesh Cooperative Union get five more years.
- Farm Clerk: 21 to 30 years, with the same 1 January or 1 July cut-off rule depending on when the posts are advertised.
SC, ST and other notified categories get additional years in the upper age limit as specified by the government. State government employees working in state services get five years of relaxation under a 2013 personnel department order, and relaxation is also provided for Chief Minister Adhyetavritti research fellows under the 2026 rules mentioned in the notice. The date of birth on the high school or equivalent certificate is the only one accepted.
How Candidates Will Be Selected
Selection rests on a written examination, but getting there is the harder part. The commission will shortlist candidates for the written exam on the basis of their normalized PET-2025 score, taking 15 times the number of vacancies in each category. The cut-off is applied at the last shortlisted normalized score, calculated up to two decimal places, and everyone who ties at that score is also shortlisted.
If the exam is held in more than one shift or on more than one day, scores will be normalized under the process laid down in the commission's notice dated 22 May 2019. The exam date has not been announced and will be shared in due course. Exam centre, date and time will be given on the admit card, and the notice states that none of these will be changed.
At the document verification stage, candidates will be asked to give their preference among the posts. The commission will try to allot posts on that preference, keeping post availability, merit, educational qualification and age limit in view, but its decision is final.
Exam Pattern for the Written Test
The paper has 100 objective, multiple-choice questions to be solved in two hours. Each question carries one mark, and every wrong answer attracts negative marking of 25 percent, that is one-fourth of a mark.

How to Apply for UPSSSC Inter Level Mains 2026
The notice allows online applications only. Anything sent by another route will not be accepted. The whole process can be completed in a single sitting, so it helps to have your documents and PET-2025 details beside you before you log in.
- Check that you appeared in PET-2025 and hold its score card, and that you meet the educational qualification and age rules for the post you want.
- Keep your PET-2025 registration number ready, along with your caste, EWS or disability certificate in the prescribed format if you are claiming a benefit, and your high school certificate for date of birth.
- Open the UPSSSC website, go to the Live Advertisement Segment on the homepage, and read Advertisement No. 26-Pariksha/2026 fully before starting.
- Log in with your PET-2025 registration number and the OTP sent to your registered mobile number or email.
- Check the personal details that appear automatically, then select every post you want to apply for and enter your educational qualification details for each.
- Confirm the photo and signature shown from your PET-2025 form, click Continue, and answer the additional qualification question on the Other Details screen.
- Read the declaration, tick all the checkboxes, enter the verification code and click Save and Submit to move to fee payment.
- Pay the Rs 25 online process fee by credit card, debit card, net banking or UPI, or through an SBI e-challan, on or before 01-12-2026.
- Once the fee is reconciled, download and print your application form and keep it safe for document verification.
Two practical points deserve attention. First, a post you do not select in the form is treated as not claimed, so tick every post you are eligible for. Second, only one application is to be made for all the advertised posts. If a candidate submits more than once, only the last submitted application is accepted and the rest are treated as cancelled.
If the Fee Does Not Reconcile
Sometimes money is deducted but the application does not appear. The notice describes a fixed way out. Go to the Applicant Segment on the commission's homepage and choose Update Your Transaction ID by Double Verification. Log in with your registration number and click Verify Transaction ID. If the payment still failed, a Payment Acknowledgment Receipt is shown instead of the application, and you then use the Application Fee Deposition option to pay again. Once the fee is reconciled, the form is submitted automatically and can be downloaded.
For SBI e-challan payments, download the challan, pay at an SBI branch, and then fill in the challan details through the same Double Verification option so that the fee is reconciled. The commission advises candidates to complete reconciliation and take the printout by the last date, or within one week of it at the very latest.
Correcting a Submitted Application
Once the application is finally submitted, you can log in to the Applicant's Dashboard with your PET-2025 registration number, click Modify Application, and enter the OTP sent to your registered mobile or email. Corrections are limited to the following:
- Correspondence address
- Other personal details such as EWS and horizontal reservation category (freedom fighter dependant, divyang, ex-serviceman, outstanding sportsperson), and gender
- Details of the essential or preferred qualification entered in the application
- Marital status
Divyang candidates in particular must update the form with their category and sub-category of disability. All corrections must be made by 08-12-2026. The commission will not entertain any separate request for error correction after that date.
Documents to Keep Ready
Certificates are not uploaded at the application stage, but candidates must hold them by the last date and produce them when the commission asks. The notice includes formats for each in its annexures.
- PET-2025 registration number and score card
- High school or equivalent certificate showing the date of birth

Rules and Warnings From the Notice

- An application without a date of birth, from an over-age or under-age candidate, or from someone without the essential qualification, will be rejected.
- The commission does not correspond with candidates individually. All updates are placed on its website, so check it regularly.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q1. Who can fill the UPSSSC Inter Level Mains form 2026?
Only candidates who meet the educational qualification for a post and who appeared in Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET) 2025 with a score card issued by the commission can apply. Candidates whose PET result is marked Under Investigation or Provisional may apply provisionally, but their shortlisting depends on the commission's final decision in their case.
Q2. What is the last date to apply and pay the fee?
The last date to submit the online application and pay the fee is 01-12-2026, and nothing is accepted after that date. If the bank has not reconciled the fee by then, it must be reconciled within seven days at the latest, that is by 08-12-2026, which is also the last date for corrections.
Q3. How much is the application fee?
There is no application fee. Every category, including unreserved, OBC, SC and ST, pays only an online process fee of Rs 25. A separate mains exam fee is collected later, and only from shortlisted candidates, before they download the admit card.

The notice lists 1784 posts across 12 entries that cover 11 different posts, with Gram Vikas Adhikari (Social Welfare) at 525 posts and Gram Panchayat Adhikari at 508 posts being the largest. For most posts the age must be at least 18 and not more than 40 years on 1 July of the calendar year in which the vacancies are advertised. Farm Clerk has a different range of 21 to 30 years. SC, ST and other notified categories get extra years in the upper limit as per government rules.
Q6. Is a computer certificate required for any post?
Yes, for three posts. The other posts do not list this requirement, though Farm Clerk and Bikri Karta ask for three years of relevant experience.
Q7. How are candidates selected for the written exam?
The commission shortlists candidates on their normalized PET-2025 score, taking 15 times the number of vacancies in each category and including everyone tied at the last cut-off score. The written exam is a 100-question objective paper of two hours, and each wrong answer costs one-fourth of a mark.
Q8. Can I change details after submitting the application?
Yes, after the application is finally submitted you can edit selected details through the Applicant's Dashboard using OTP login, but only until 08-12-2026.
