Pay Scale
The pay scale for UP Pravakta (PGT Teacher) posts is Rs. 47,600 to Rs. 1,51,100 with Pay Level 8 and Grade Pay of Rs. 4,800. Additional allowances applicable as per UP government rules will also be paid.
Reservation Guidelines
- Reservation benefits are applicable only to permanent residents of Uttar Pradesh. Candidates from other states will be treated as General category, even if they belong to SC/ST/OBC/EWS.
- EWS reservation: 10% reservation for Economically Weaker Section under UP Public Services (EWS Reservation) Act 2020.
- Horizontal reservations: Ex-Servicemen - 5%, Divyang (PwD) - 4% (1% each for Blindness/Low Vision, Hearing Impairment, Locomotor Disability, and 1% for Autism/Multiple Disabilities), Freedom Fighter Dependents - 2%.
- OBC Creamy Layer: OBC candidates falling in the Creamy Layer are not eligible for OBC reservation and must apply as General category.
- For women candidates, caste and residence proof from the father's side will be accepted.
- Male candidates cannot apply for posts in Girls Institutions. However, this exception does not apply to blind candidates for the Music subject.

Exam Centres
Examination centres will be determined only at all district headquarters. A candidate may be allotted any examination centre. Information about examination centres, time table, and roll numbers will be communicated in due course through email and SMS. No change of examination centre is permissible under any circumstances.
General Rules and Instructions
- Only one application per subject per category (Balak/Balika) is accepted. If multiple applications are submitted, the last one will be valid.
- After final submission of the online application, no modification is possible in any field including reservation category, sub-category, date of birth, and gender.
- Only the date of birth as per High School (Class 10) certificate will be accepted. No other document is valid for date of birth proof.
- No candidate with more than one living spouse is eligible. Women who have married a man with a living wife are also not eligible (unless state government grants exemption for special reasons).
- Candidates working in Central or State Government/PSU/Financial Institutions must obtain a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their employer. NOC is not required at initial stage but late applications on this ground will be treated as time-barred.
- Mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, pagers, calculators, and other communication devices are strictly banned inside the exam hall. Violation leads to cancellation of candidature and ban from future examinations.
- Any candidate found using unfair means, impersonating, misbehaving, or using mobile phones in the exam hall will be disqualified and may be banned from future examinations.
- In case of any dispute, candidates must first submit a representation to the Selection Board. Board's decision on all matters regarding eligibility and selection is final.
- Candidates appearing from outside UP must note that reservation benefits are not available to them regardless of their caste/category.
- Photograph uploaded should be the latest coloured photo (3.5cm x 4.5cm, showing face clearly in 70% of photo area). Background should be white or light grey. Signature must be on white paper with black/blue ink.
