Rajasthan SET 2026 is offered in the following 35 subjects. Candidates must appear in the subject of their post-graduation only:

*Candidates with a Master's Degree in Geography with specialization in Population Studies are also eligible to appear in the subject "Population Studies".

Note: If a candidate's subject of post-graduation is not included in the above list, they may appear in UGC NET / UGC-CSIR NET, which is held twice a year.

Educational Qualification

Appearing / Final Year Candidates

• Candidates currently pursuing their Master's degree or awaiting results of the final year examination may also apply provisionally.
• Such candidates will be eligible only after passing the Master's Degree with the required percentage (55% for General / 50% for reserved categories).
• They must complete their Master's degree within two years from the date of SET result, failing which they will be treated as disqualified.

Third Gender Category

• Candidates belonging to the Third gender category are eligible to draw the same relaxation in fee and eligibility criteria as available to SC/ST/PwD categories.
• The subject-wise qualifying cut-offs for this category will be the lowest among those for SC/ST/PwD/OBC-NCL/General-EWS in the corresponding subject.

Age Limit

There is no upper age limit for appearing in Rajasthan SET 2026.

Scheme of Test - Rajasthan SET 2026 Exam Pattern

Marking Scheme

• Each question carries 2 marks.
• For each correct response, the candidate gets +2 marks.
• No negative marking for incorrect responses.
• No marks for unanswered / unattempted questions.
• If a question is found incorrect and dropped, +2 marks will be awarded to all candidates who appeared in that paper.
• All questions are compulsory.

Medium of Question Paper

• Question papers will be in English and Hindi only.
• Language papers will be in the concerned language (medium) only.
• In case of any ambiguity in translation, the English version will be treated as final.
