What Is OFSS Bihar?
OFSS stands for Online Facilitation System for Students. It is a centralised online system developed by Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) to simplify and make transparent the admission process for Class 11 in all government and private intermediate institutions in Bihar.
Before OFSS, students had to physically visit each institution, buy separate prospectuses, fill different forms, and pay separately. Poor and meritorious students from remote areas faced difficulties getting admissions in good institutions. OFSS has ended all this by providing a single Common Application Form (CAF) with a one-time fee of Rs. 350.
Through OFSS, a student can select up to 20 institutions and streams in one application. The system prepares a merit-based Combined Merit List and allocates seats automatically based on merit and preferences given by the student.
