Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

  • Essential: Diploma in Mining Engineering (3 years duration) from a University/Institution recognized by UGC/AICTE/Government of India.
  • Desirable: Foreman's Certificate of Competency for metalliferous mines.
  • Possession of a higher qualification other than the essential qualification does not entitle eligibility for this post.
  • Prescribed qualifications are mandatory. Proof of qualification must be uploaded during online application and produced at the time of document verification.

Age Limit

  • Maximum Age: 50 years
  • Age relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST candidates.
  • Age relaxation: 3 years for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates.

Selection Process

  • Selection will be made through Supervisory Skill Assessment conducted by a duly constituted committee of NMDC.
  • Only those candidates whose document verification is found in order as per the notification will be permitted to appear in the Supervisory Skill Assessment.
  • The merit list will be drawn based on performance in the Supervisory Skill Assessment.

Terms and Conditions of Contract

  • Contract Period: Maximum up to 3 years initially, or till the age of 60 years, whichever is earlier. The contract may be extended based on performance and requirements.
  • Training: One month of On the Job Training (OJT) after selection.
  • Consolidated Pay: Rs. 60,000/- per month (CE-04). Pay may be increased up to 5% annually based on performance.
  • Medical Coverage: Accidental Group Insurance during the contract period. Outpatient expense allowance of Rs. 35,000/- per annum for self-treatment.
  • Leaves: 12 days Casual Leave and 20 days Medical Leave per calendar year. Un-availed Casual Leave cannot be carried forward or encashed.
  • HRA and TA/DA: HRA will be paid as applicable. TA/DA applicable for official tours.
  • The engagement can be terminated by giving one month's notice by either side.
  • The selected candidate will be posted at any Mines/Units/Offices of NMDC as per company requirements.
  • Only Indian Nationals are eligible to apply.
