Educational Qualification
- Deputy Director (Medical): A recognized postgraduate medical qualification approved under the Medical Council Act, 1956.

NBEMS Selection Process
For Deputy Director (Medical) and Junior Programmer, the scheme and syllabus of examination will be intimated separately on the NBEMS website. For Junior Accountant, Stenographer, and Junior Assistant, the selection process has two stages.
- Stage I: Computer Based Test (CBT) of 200 questions and 200 marks
- Stage II: Computer Knowledge or Skill Test of 100 marks
There is no interview for any Group B or Group C post under this recruitment.

Stage II: Computer Knowledge or Skill Test
Five candidates per vacancy in each category, based on Stage I merit, are called for Stage II, which is of 100 marks and 75 minutes duration, covering Data Entry, Word Processing, Computer Operation, and Stenography as relevant to the post. The minimum qualifying marks in Stage II are also 40% for SC, ST, PwBD, and Ex-Servicemen candidates, and 50% for others.
