Rural Home Guard (Gramin Grih Rakshak) — Block-wise

Urban Home Guard (Shahri Grih Rakshak)

Note: 50% of posts in both Rural and Urban categories are reserved for women. Out of those, 5% posts reserved for women are further earmarked for eligible divorced/deserted/widowed women. 50% of Urban Home Guard vacancies are reserved for technically skilled candidates.

Eligibility Criteria

Residential Eligibility

• Rural Home Guard: Candidate must be a permanent resident of the block in Ramgarh district from which they are applying for enrollment.
• Urban Home Guard: Candidate must be a general resident of the urban area of Ramgarh district.
• Self-attested copy of online residential certificate issued by the competent authority (State Government) must be attached with the application.

Age Limit

• Minimum: 19 years
• Maximum: 40 years
• Age will be calculated as on 01.01.2026.
• Self-attested copy of Date of Birth certificate issued by the competent authority must be attached.

Educational Qualification

• Rural Home Guard (Gramin Grih Rakshak): Minimum 7th class pass.
• Urban Home Guard (Shahri Grih Rakshak): Minimum Matriculation (10th class) pass.
• Self-attested copy of educational certificate issued by the competent authority must be attached.

Physical Standards

SC/ST candidates may attach self-attested copy of online caste certificate issued by the competent authority for physical measurement relaxation.

Technical Proficiency (For Urban Technical Home Guard Applicants Only)

• Candidate must be skilled in various technical fields and should be working/self-employed in a related technical field.
• Technical trades considered: Doctor, Engineer, Advocate, Teacher, Nurse, Computer Operator, Typist, LMV/HMV Licensed Driver, Cook, Carpenter, Cobbler, Washerman, Barber, Electrician, Gardener, Plumber, etc.
• Self-attested copy of technical proficiency certificate from the competent authority must be attached.

Government servants can be enrolled as Urban Home Guard up to a maximum of 10% of total Urban vacancies. They must attach a self-attested copy of No Objection Certificate from their employer.

2. Register yourself and fill the online application form carefully with all required details as per your eligibility. Rural and Urban Home Guard candidates must fill separate application forms.
