Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

  • Senior Research Fellow (SRF): M.Sc. (Agriculture) with specialisation in Agronomy.
  • Young Professional-I (New Delhi — IT/Social Media Post): Bachelor's degree in B.Tech or BCA.
  • Young Professional-I (UP, MP, Gujarat, Rajasthan — Field Posts): Bachelor's degree in B.Sc. Agriculture.

Age Limit

  • Upper Age Limit: 40 years for all posts.
  • Age relaxation as per Government of India norms for Women, SC, ST, OBC, and Persons with Disabilities (PwD) candidates.

Desirable Qualifications

For Senior Research Fellow (SRF)

  • Experience of conducting field experiments (on-farm and on-station).
  • Knowledge of soil and plant nutrient analysis.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, statistical data analysis, and report writing.

For Young Professional-I (New Delhi — IT Post)

  • Good working knowledge of MS Office, especially MS Excel.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms — YouTube, Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), LinkedIn.
  • Ability to create and manage short video content.
  • Fluency in English and Hindi; knowledge of regional/local languages is an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of computer applications, statistical analysis, and report writing.

For Young Professional-I (Field Posts — UP, MP, Gujarat, Rajasthan)

  • Practical experience of conducting on-farm trials and farmer's field experimentation.
  • Knowledge of soil and plant nutrient analysis (Nitrogen, Phosphorus, Potassium, etc.).
  • Knowledge of computer applications, statistical data analysis, and report writing.
  • Preference for candidates with proficiency in local language of the respective state/district.

Emoluments

Selection Process

  • Applications received will be reviewed by a Screening Committee.
  • Only shortlisted candidates meeting essential qualifications will be called for the Online Interview.
  • Preference will be given to candidates possessing desirable qualifications.
  • Online Interviews will be conducted from 18 to 21 May 2026 starting from 10:00 a.m. onward.
  • Selected candidates must submit original documents and a medical certificate at the time of joining.

Terms and Conditions

  • All posts are purely temporary and contractual. The posts are co-terminus with the project.
  • YP-I positions are field-based. Candidates must be willing to work in rural areas and interact directly with farmers.
  • Selected YP-I candidates will work under the supervision of the respective ATARI Director and KVK In-charge.
  • All reports and project activities must be submitted to the Project Coordinator/PI at ICAR-IARI, New Delhi.
  • No regular leave is entitled. CL and RH may be availed up to 10 days per year only.
  • NOC from the current employer is mandatory if already employed.
  • Candidates with relatives working in ICAR/IARI must declare their details in writing along with the application.
  • Canvassing in any form or concealment of facts will lead to disqualification or termination.
  • Incomplete applications will be rejected outright.
  • The institute reserves the right to cancel any post or reject all candidates even after the interview.
