HSSC CET Group C Selection Process 2026
The selection for Group C posts (Police and Prison service category) follows a multi-stage process as per CET Policy and HSSC Rules 2025.
- Stage 1: Shortlisting based on CET Phase-I marks. Eligible candidates are invited to apply for the skill and written examination.
- Stage 2: Physical Measurement Test (PMT) — qualifying in nature.
- Stage 3: Physical Screening Test (PST) — qualifying in nature.
- Stage 4: Written Examination (Skill and/or Written Exam) — merit forming, 100 marks.
- Final Merit: Based on marks obtained in the written examination. In case of a tie, the candidate older in age gets preference. If date of birth is also the same, the candidate with higher CET Phase-I marks is preferred.
The maximum number of candidates shortlisted for the written exam will be 10 times the total number of advertised posts. Minimum qualifying marks in the written exam are 50% for General category and 40% for reserved categories.
