High Court of Delhi conducts the Delhi Higher Judicial Service Examination every year as per the Delhi Higher Judicial Service Rules, 1970 (as amended up to date). Eligibility Criteria For Delhi Higher Judicial Service Examination 2026

Nationality

The candidate must be a citizen of India.

Educational and Professional Qualification

  • An Advocate must have continuously practised law for not less than seven years as on 15 July 2026.
  • A Judicial Officer must have completed seven years in the Bar before joining subordinate judicial service, or must have seven years of combined experience as a Judicial Officer and an Advocate.
  • A person who has been or is currently in judicial service must have a combined experience of seven years or more as an Advocate or Judicial Officer as on the last date of application.

Age Limit

The candidate must have attained the age of 35 years and must not have attained the age of 45 years as on the last date of receipt of application, that is, 15 July 2026.
