About NDA NA Examination (I) 2026

The National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Examination is one of India's most prestigious defence entrance tests, conducted by UPSC twice every year. Exam Day Reporting Time and Entry Rules

Candidates must keep the following reporting rules in mind to avoid being denied entry:

• Entry closes 30 minutes before each session. Forenoon session gates close at 9:30 AM and afternoon session gates close at 1:30 PM.
• No candidate will be allowed entry after the gate closure time under any circumstances.
• Candidates must appear only at the examination venue mentioned in their e-Admit Card. No alternate venue is permitted.
• Candidates who changed their name must carry a government-issued photo ID reflecting the updated name at every session.

Banned Items Inside NDA 2026 Exam Hall

UPSC has strictly prohibited carrying the following items into the examination premises:

NDA 1 2026 Exam Pattern Overview

The NDA written examination consists of two papers conducted on the same day:

Candidates qualifying the written exam will be called for the SSB Interview. The NDA Selection Process includes the written exam (900 marks) and SSB Interview (900 marks), totalling 1800 marks for the final merit list.
