Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- Candidates must have passed Intermediate (10+2) or equivalent examination from the UP Board of Secondary Education (Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad), UP, or a government-recognized equivalent examination of similar standard.
- Desirable Qualification: Candidates who have served in the Pradeshik Sena (Territorial Army) for a minimum of two years, OR have obtained the NCC "B" Certificate, OR have a Computer Application Certificate from a Central/State Government recognized institution, OR have represented the state in any sport, shall be given preference.
- Candidates must have qualified in PET-2025 and must have received a score card issued by UPSSSC. Candidates who scored zero or negative marks in PET-2025 will not be shortlisted.
Age Limit
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age: 40 years
- Age will be calculated as of the first day of July of the calendar year in which direct recruitment vacancies are advertised.
- Upper age relaxation is applicable for SC, ST, and other reserved categories as per UP Government orders.
- Candidates of other states who belong to reserved categories will be treated as General (UR) candidates and will not get any age or fee relaxation.
Selection Process
- Shortlisting for the Written (Main) Examination will be done on the basis of the normalized score obtained in PET-2025. Up to 15 times the number of advertised posts (up to the cut-off score) will be shortlisted for the written exam.
- Written Examination (Main Exam): Objective type, multiple choice, 100 questions, 100 marks, 2 hours (120 minutes) duration. There is negative marking of 1/4 marks for each wrong answer.
- Physical Standard Test (PST): Candidates who qualify the written exam will appear in the physical standard test.
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Candidates who clear PST will appear in the Physical Efficiency Test.
- Medical Examination: Candidates who qualify PET will undergo a medical examination.
- Document Verification: Final shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification.

Medical Standards
- Candidates who clear the Physical Efficiency Test will undergo a medical examination conducted by a Medical Board constituted by the Chief Medical Officer of the concerned district.
