Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

As per UP Government Departmental Statistical Service Rules 2012 (Part-4, Rule 11), the following qualifications are mandatory for direct recruitment to the post of Sahayak Sankhyikiya Adhikari / Sahayak Shodh Adhikari (Sankhyiki):

• Essential Qualification (Academic): A postgraduate degree (Master's degree) in Mathematics or Mathematical Statistics or Commerce or Economics or Statistics from a university established by law in India, or any equivalent qualification recognized by the government. • Computer Knowledge: At least a one-year diploma in Computer Science at 'O' level awarded by DOEACC Society, or a diploma in Computer Science from any recognized university or institution.

Preferential Qualification (Adhimani Yogyata)

• Candidates who have served for a minimum of 2 years in the Pradeshik Sena (Territorial Army), or
• Candidates who have obtained the 'B' certificate from the National Cadet Corps (NCC)

These candidates will be given preference in direct recruitment (all other conditions being equal).

Age Limit

Age will be calculated as on 1 July of the year in which vacancies are advertised. The candidate must have attained 21 years of age and must not have crossed 40 years as on 1 July of the relevant year.

PET Eligibility (Mandatory)

Only those candidates who appeared in and qualified the Preliminary Eligibility Test-2025 (PET-2025) and received a Score Card from UPSSSC are eligible to apply. Selection Process

Selection for UPSSSC ASO Recruitment 2026 is a two-stage process:

• Stage 1 - Shortlisting via PET-2025 Score: Candidates are shortlisted for the Main Exam on the basis of their normalized score in PET-2025. General Instructions for Applicants

• Candidates must have all required mandatory educational qualifications (including computer diploma) by 11 May 2026 (last date).
• Candidates seeking reservation or age relaxation must possess valid caste or category certificate issued by a competent authority up to the last date.
• EWS candidates must possess the EWS certificate valid for financial year 2025-26 and applicable for financial year 2026-27, obtained between 01-04-2026 and 11-05-2026.
• Candidates must provide correct preference of departments/posts at the time of application. The Commission will try to allot the department/post as per preference, but the final decision rests with the Commission.
• Candidates currently serving in central or state government must obtain a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their employer before participating in the selection process.
• State government employees get an additional 5 years of age relaxation as per government rules.
• Candidates must submit only one application per advertisement. Multiple applications will result in rejection of all except the last submitted one.
• Canvassing in any form will result in disqualification.
• For male candidates who have more than one living wife, and for female candidates who have married such a man, the application will not be considered eligible unless a special exemption has been granted by the Governor.

Reservation Provisions

• Reservation for SC, ST, OBC, and EWS candidates of Uttar Pradesh is applicable as per the latest UP government orders.

• Women candidates will get reservation as per UP government notification dated 26 February 1999 and subsequent orders, subject to the final outcome of the Special Appeal pending before the High Court.
