Age Limit
- Minimum Age: 21 years
- Maximum Age: 35 years
- Age is calculated as on 01 January 2026. Candidate must be born between 02 January 1991 and 01 January 2005.
- Age relaxation is available for SC, ST, OBC, EWS (5 years), Divyang (10 years for Group C), Ex-Servicemen, Women, and other categories as per Uttarakhand government rules.
Educational Qualification - Post A: Junior Assistant
- Graduate degree from any recognized university established by law in India, or equivalent qualification approved by the government.
- Good knowledge of Hindi and English languages.
- Computer typing speed of minimum 25 words per minute in Hindi on computer. Candidates with 30 words per minute in English typing will get priority.
- Basic knowledge of computer operation.
Educational Qualification - Post B: Stenographer Grade-1 / Personal Assistant
- Graduate degree from any recognized university or equivalent qualification approved by the government.
- Good knowledge of Hindi and English languages.
- Shorthand speed of minimum 80 words per minute in Hindi and 25 words per minute typing in Hindi on computer. Candidates with 80 wpm English shorthand and 35 wpm English typing on computer will be given preference.
- Basic knowledge of computer operation.

Selection Process
Selection for UKSSSC Uttarakhand High Court Recruitment 2026 is based on the following steps:
- Written Competitive Examination: Objective type (Multiple Choice) exam of 140 marks, duration 2 hours 30 minutes. Questions are from General Knowledge and General Studies. This exam may be conducted in offline (OMR based) or online mode.
- Tying/Shorthand Test (for Stenographer posts): A typing and shorthand test of 60 marks is also conducted. This is of qualifying nature.
- Negative Marking: 1 mark for each correct answer. 1/4 mark deducted for each wrong answer. No marks deducted for unattempted questions.
- Minimum Qualifying Marks: General/OBC candidates must score at least 45%. SC/ST candidates must score at least 35%.
- Tiebreaker: If two candidates score equal marks in written exam, the one with higher marks in the typing/shorthand test gets preference. If still tied, the senior candidate (older age) gets priority.
- Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates must appear for document verification after the written exam.
