Educational Qualification
- Candidates must hold a Bachelor's Degree with Chemistry as one of the subjects from any recognized University in India.
- The result of the qualifying degree must have been declared by the University on or before the notification date, i.e., 20 April 2026.
- Degrees obtained through Distance Education or Open Universities must be recognized by UGC/AICTE/Distance Education Bureau.

Selection Process
- Selection is based entirely on performance in a Written Examination (Objective Type).
- The exam will be conducted in OMR-based Offline mode or Computer Based Recruitment Test (CBRT) mode, as decided by TGPSC.
- There is no interview round; merit list is prepared based on written exam scores only.
- Qualifying marks: OC/EWS/Sportspersons – minimum 40%, BCs – minimum 35%, SC/ST/PwD – minimum 30%.
- In case of tie in marks, rank is determined by local status, date of birth, subject paper marks, and qualifying exam percentage, in that order.
- Final appointment is subject to medical fitness examination.
