Pay Scale - SSB ASI Salary 2026

In addition to basic pay, selected candidates will receive Dearness Allowance, Ration Money Allowance, House Rent Allowance, and other allowances as admissible in SSB. Selected candidates will also be covered under the Defined Contributory Pension Scheme (New Pension Scheme) or Unified Pension Scheme (UPS) as applicable.

Candidates who have appeared in qualifying examination but results are awaited, and candidates who intend to appear in a qualifying examination in the year 2026 are also eligible to apply.

Nationality / Citizenship

The candidate must be a citizen of India. Subjects of Nepal or Bhutan in the Force are eligible as per applicable rules. No person who is not a citizen of India shall be appointed except with the prior written permission of the Central Government.

Physical Standards - SSB ASI PST 2026

Important Note: Weight of the candidate should be proportionate to height and age as per Annexure-VI. Candidates not meeting the minimum height and chest requirement will be rejected. Height and chest will be measured correct to one decimal place in centimeters.

Selection Process - SSB ASI Recruitment 2026

The selection process for SSB ASI Recruitment 2026 consists of the following stages:

Stage I: Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

PST will be conducted at SSB locations. Candidates must meet minimum height and chest requirements as given in the Physical Standards table. Weight should be proportionate to height and age. Candidates failing PST will be rejected from the recruitment process.

Stage II: Written Examination (Computer Based Test)

Candidates declared qualified in PST will appear in the Computer Based Test (CBT). Exam pattern is as under:

Duration: 3 hours | Type: 150 Multiple Choice Objective Questions

Minimum Qualifying Marks:

• For General (UR), EWS, OBC and Ex-Servicemen: 50%
• For SC and ST: 45%

Note: Final Merit will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in written examination only.

Stage III: Documentation, Detailed Medical Examination (DME) and Review Medical Examination (RME)

After written examination, candidates numbering up to 3 times of the vacancies (category wise) will be shortlisted for Document Verification and Detailed Medical Examination. Candidates who pass written exam but are not in the merit list will not be called for this stage. Being declared Fit in Medical Examination does not give any legal claim for appointment. Final appointment is strictly on merit basis.

Final Selection

The final selection list will be prepared category wise on merit after completion of Review Medical Examination. In case of equal marks:

• Candidate with higher marks in Part-II (Technical Subject) will be ranked higher.
• If still equal, the candidate senior in age will be ranked higher.
• If date of birth is also same, priority will be given based on alphabetical order of names in English (dictionary pattern).
