Vacancy Details

Basic Pay for all posts: Rs. 47,330.25 per month. In addition, DA, HRA, attendance bonus, special allowance, and transport subsidy are also admissible as per NCWA provisions. Note: 17 vacancies under Assistant Foreman (Electrical) are reserved for PwBD candidates (horizontal reservation). PwBD reservation is not applicable for Mining Sirdar and Dy. Surveyor posts.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

• Mining Sirdar T&S Grade-C: Matriculate or equivalent from any recognized Board OR Diploma/Degree in Mining Engineering (3-year Diploma or equivalent) from a recognized Institute. Additionally, valid Mining Sirdarship Certificate of Competency (Un-Restricted) from DGMS under Coal Mines Regulation 2017 for both OC and UG Mines, valid Gas Testing Certificate, and valid First Aid Certificate are required.
• Dy. Surveyor T&S Grade-C (Mining): Matriculate or equivalent from any recognized Board OR Degree/Diploma in Mining/Mine Surveying Engineering from a recognized Institute. Additionally, Surveyors' Certificate of Competency (SCC) (Un-Restricted) under CMR 2017 is required.
• Assistant Foreman (Electrical) Grade-C: Matriculate or equivalent from any recognized Board AND Diploma (minimum 3-year course) or higher qualification in Electrical Engineering from any Government-recognized Institute.
• Qualifications acquired through distance learning or part-time mode will not be considered.

Age Limit

(As on Cut-off Date: 08 April 2026)

• Minimum Age: 18 years
• Maximum Age: 30 years
• SC/ST: 5 years relaxation
• OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) Centre List: 3 years relaxation
• Ex-Servicemen (ESM): Actual period of defence service + 3 years (maximum age up to 50 years); 6 years for OBC-NCL, 8 years for SC/ST ESM
• PwBD (for Assistant Foreman Electrical only): 10 years for UR, 13 years for OBC-NCL, 15 years for SC/ST
• Departmental Candidates (CIL and its subsidiaries): No upper age limit

Selection Process

• Selection will be done through Computer Based Test (CBT) only. Personal Interview has been discontinued as per Coal India Limited circular.
• Candidates will be provisionally called to appear in CBT based on their self-declaration of eligibility in the application form.
• Document scrutiny/verification will be done only for provisionally selected candidates as per the merit list based on CBT score.
• Selected candidates must be declared medically fit as per standards prescribed by the Company.

Examination Structure

Each question carries 1 mark. There is no negative marking for wrong answers. No marks will be given for unattempted questions. Question paper will be bilingual (English and Hindi). English version will be treated as final in case of any discrepancy.

2. Read the complete Employment Notification carefully in English or Hindi before starting your application.
3. Register by entering your name, mobile number, email ID, and the post you wish to apply for, then click the Submit button.
4. Check your registered email and mobile for User ID and Password after successful registration.
5. Log in again using the received User ID and Password.
6. Fill in the application form with all required details and upload scanned copies of the required documents — recent passport-size photograph (not older than 3 weeks), signature, educational certificates, competency certificates, caste/EWS certificates (if applicable), and Gas Testing and First Aid certificates (for Mining Sirdar only).
