Educational Qualification

Candidates must hold a Degree from any university incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India, or an educational institution declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Government in consultation with the Commission.

Important: Candidates who are yet to complete their final exam can apply provisionally, but must present proof of qualification before the Main Exam/Interview.

Selection Process - RPSC RAS/RTS Exam 2026

The Combined Competitive Examination 2026 is conducted in three successive stages:

  1. Preliminary Examination - Objective type, screening test only.
  2. Main Examination - Descriptive/Analytical, written exam.
  3. Personality and Viva-Voce - Interview stage.

Candidates who qualify the Preliminary Exam will be called for the Main Exam. Those who qualify the Main Exam will be called for the Viva-Voce. Final merit will be based on Main Exam marks plus Viva-Voce marks.

How to Apply for RPSC RAS Recruitment 2026

Follow these steps to submit your RPSC RAS Online Form 2026:

  1. Step 1 - Visit the official RPSC website at rpsc.rajasthan.gov.in and click on the Apply Online link for Advertisement No. 02/2026-27.
  2. Step 2 - Login to the SSO portal at sso.rajasthan.gov.in using your Citizen Apps (G2C) credentials. Complete One Time Registration (OTR) if not already done.
  3. Step 3 - Open the Recruitment Portal and complete your OTR profile with personal details including name, father's name (as per Aadhaar/Janaadhaar), date of birth, and gender.
  4. Step 4 - Fill in your educational qualification, experience, and other required details in the online application form carefully.
  5. Step 5 - Upload your live passport-size colour photograph using the OTR camera capture feature as required.
  6. Step 6 - Pay the application fee online. General/OBC Creamy Layer candidates pay Rs. 600; SC/ST/OBC Non-Creamy/MBC/EWS/Divyang candidates pay Rs. 400.

General Instructions - RPSC RAS 2026

  • Candidates from Rajasthan OBC/MBC/Creamy Layer will be treated as General category for reserved post benefits but can apply against general posts.
  • OBC/MBC candidates from outside Rajasthan will be treated as General category.
  • Candidates of SC/ST/OBC/MBC/EWS applying for reserved posts must hold a valid caste/income certificate issued by the competent authority.
  • EWS certificate issued on/after 01.04.2025 based on FY 2025-26 income, valid for 2026-27, is required.
  • If a candidate submits a wrong category application, the application can be cancelled at any stage by the Commission.
  • Candidates should not change their mobile number and email ID during the process. Updates will be sent via SMS and email.
  • All original documents must be produced at the document verification stage after the written exam.
  • Departmental Candidate (DC) benefit is available only for ministerial employees of the concerned departments (Ser. Nos. 1, 3, 4, 7, 8, 13, 23, and 26).
  • Candidates who have been debarred from any RPSC/other recruitment board/PSC exam for unfair means will not be eligible.
