Job Description

Junior Engineer (Civil): Handling and supervision of civil construction, maintenance, and interior works of building-related infrastructural systems and other related jobs in office buildings and residential colonies.

Junior Engineer (Electrical): Handling and supervision of electrical, electro-mechanical, and electronics installations and systems and other related jobs in office buildings and residential colonies.

Eligibility Criteria

Nationality

A candidate must be a citizen of India, or a subject of Nepal/Bhutan, or a Tibetan refugee who came to India before January 1, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or a person of Indian origin who has migrated from specific countries. Candidates from categories other than Indian citizens must hold a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India.

Age Limit (as on 01/04/2026)

Candidates must be between 20 and 30 years of age. Candidates born not earlier than 02/04/1996 and not later than 01/04/2006 are eligible to apply.

Junior Engineer (Civil):

• Diploma holders: At least 2 years of experience in execution and supervision of civil construction work and/or civil maintenance of office/commercial/residential buildings with basic knowledge of RCC design, computers, and tender preparation.
• Degree holders: At least 1 year of experience in the same field, or 1-year graduate apprenticeship training in a PSU.

Junior Engineer (Electrical):

• Diploma holders: At least 2 years of experience in execution and supervision of electrical installations in large/commercial buildings having HT/LT substations, central AC plants, lifts, UPS, DG sets, CCTV, fire alarm systems.
• Degree holders: At least 1 year of experience in the same field, or 1-year graduate apprenticeship training in a PSU.

Pay Scale and Perquisites

Selected candidates will draw a starting basic pay of Rs. 47,700 per month (i.e., Rs. 29,000 plus nine advance increments) in the pay scale of Rs. 29000 - 1700(3) - 34100 - 2040(4) - 42260 - 2720(6) - 58580 - 2950(2) - 64480 - 3370(3) - 74590 - 4050(1) - 78640.

The current initial monthly Gross Emoluments is approximately Rs. 91,309 (inclusive of allowances). House Rent Allowance of 15% of pay will be paid if accommodation is not provided by the Bank.

Selection Process

Selection for RBI Junior Engineer (Civil/Electrical) 2026 will be through two stages:

1. Online Examination
2. Language Proficiency Test (LPT)
