Pay Scale

Minimum basic pay: Rs. 19,900/- per month as per 7th CPC / Pay Matrix and PSPCL financial circular no. 21/2022 dated 17.08.2022.

  • During the probation period of 3 years, only minimum admissible pay is payable.
  • No Dearness Allowance, Grade Pay, or annual increment during probation.
  • TA and medical reimbursement are allowed as per entitlement during probation.
  • Serving PSPCL employees will have their pay protected if minimum admissible pay is lower than their current pay.

Selection is based on a Computer Based Online Test (CBT) followed by a Document Checking process. There is no interview.

The online test is the same for both CRA 317/26 and CRA 318/26. It consists of two parts:

Merit List and Document Checking

  • Final merit is based on marks scored in Part-II of CBT only (candidates must first qualify Part-I).
  • In case of equal marks, the older candidate is ranked higher.
  • For Sports Person category, merit is prepared by the Office of Director Sports, Punjab. Sports Gradation Certificates must be submitted to PSPCL Recruitment Section, Patiala before the last date of application.
  • Candidates qualifying the exam will be called for document checking. Candidates must appear personally with original documents.
  • Two chances are given for document checking. Failure to appear in both will result in cancellation of candidature.
