Eligibility Criteria

Nationality

A candidate must be a citizen of India. Tibetan refugees who arrived in India before 1 January 1972, and persons of Indian origin who migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, or East African countries with the intention to permanently settle in India are also eligible, subject to a certificate of eligibility from the State Government.

Marital Status

A male candidate having more than one wife alive, or a female candidate who has married a person already having a wife alive, is not eligible for this recruitment.

Physical Fitness

Candidates must be in good mental and physical health. Before appointment, they must produce a medical fitness certificate issued by a Medical Officer not below the rank of Deputy Superintendent of a Government Hospital. Locomotor Disabled candidates must be mentally fit and physically fit except to the extent of their specific disability.

Educational Qualification

As on 01 January 2026, candidates must possess all three of the following qualifications:

  • Graduation in any discipline from a recognised University or Institution.
  • Diploma or Certificate of at least 6 months course in Computer Application from a recognised institution.
  • Certificate in Typing proficiency with a speed of 40 words per minute in English and 30 words per minute in Hindi.

Preferential Qualification

Candidates who have served in the Territorial Army for a minimum period of two years, or who hold a 'B' Certificate of the National Cadet Corps (NCC), will be given preference in direct recruitment at the time of Interview, other things being equal.
