Eligibility Criteria
Deputy Director (Medical) - Group A
Age: Not exceeding 35 years.
Essential Qualification: A recognized postgraduate medical qualification approved under the Medical Council Act, 1956.
Desirable: Some training in medical education technology and/or knowledge of modern evaluation techniques, including preparation of MCQs, MEQs and analysis of candidate performance.
Junior Programmer - Group B
Age: Below 27 years.
Essential Qualification: B.Tech/BE/BCA/DOEACC ('B' or 'C' level)/Degree in Computer Science/IT/Electronics with specialization in computers, or equivalent.
Junior Accountant - Group C
Age: Below 27 years.
Essential Qualification: Bachelor's degree with Mathematics or Statistics, or a degree in Commerce from a recognized university, along with qualifying the examination prescribed by NBEMS.
Desirable: Three years' experience in dealing with accounts in a government institution, with knowledge of computer-based accounting.
Stenographer - Group C
Age: 18 to 27 years.
Essential Qualification: Senior Secondary (12th of 10+2).
Other Qualifications: Stenographic skill of 80/30 words per minute in shorthand/typing, and the candidate must qualify a test in General English/Shorthand and typewriting conducted by the Board.
Desirable: Two years' experience as Steno in a Government/PSU/autonomous body, along with ability to do word processing on a computer.
Junior Assistant - Group C
Age: Below 27 years.
Essential Qualification: Passed Senior Secondary Examination from a Board/University recognized by the Central/State Government, UT Administration or an educational authority; proficiency in using computers and basic software packages such as Windows/network operating systems and LAN architecture; and qualifying the examination prescribed by NBEMS.

Bank processing charges and service tax will be charged extra by the bank. The fee once paid is non-refundable and cannot be adjusted against any other selection process. Payment can be made online through debit card, credit card, net banking or UPI of any bank. Demand drafts, cheques, money orders, postal orders and similar offline instruments will not be accepted.
Selection Process
Deputy Director (Medical) and Junior Programmer
The scheme and syllabus of the examination for these two posts will be intimated separately on the NBEMS website in due course.
Junior Accountant, Stenographer and Junior Assistant
Selection for these three posts is through two stages, and no interview will be held for Group B and C posts.
Stage-I – Computer Based Test (CBT): An objective type test of 200 questions carrying a maximum of 200 marks, to be completed in 180 minutes (three hours). There is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer. The minimum qualifying marks are 40% for SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen candidates and 50% for all other candidates.

Stage-II – Computer Knowledge/Skill Test: A test of 100 marks with a duration of 75 minutes. Based on the Stage-I merit list, five candidates per vacancy in each category will be called for Stage-II, which covers Data Entry, Word Processing, Computer Operation or Stenography as applicable to the post. The minimum qualifying marks are 40% for SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen candidates and 50% for other candidates.
Final Merit List
For Junior Accountant, Stenographer and Junior Assistant, the final merit list is prepared on the basis of total marks obtained in Stage-I and Stage-II combined. If two or more candidates score equal marks, the older candidate is placed higher. The merit/select list remains valid for one year or until the next selection, whichever is earlier. For Deputy Director (Medical) and Junior Programmer, the criteria for the final merit list will be notified separately on the NBEMS website.

The Stage-I question paper will be set in both English and Hindi. Candidates must appear in both stages of the examination, and the difficulty level of the paper will correspond to the educational qualification prescribed for the post.

Hard copies of certificates are not required at the time of applying. Candidates must produce the originals and attested copies of all supporting documents for verification whenever called by NBEMS, failing which their candidature will be rejected.
Service Bond
Selected candidates are required to execute a penalty bond agreeing to serve NBEMS for a minimum continuous period of two years, coinciding with the probation period. If a candidate resigns or voluntarily withdraws from service before completing this two-year period, they will be liable to pay three months' last-drawn salary as liquidated damages. NBEMS has also indicated that a separate service bond, with details to be communicated later, is under consideration and pending approval of the Governing Body.
