Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

  • Candidates must have passed at least Class 10th (High School / Matriculation) or equivalent examination from a recognised board.
  • The minimum educational qualification must be completed on or before the last date of submitting the online application form.

Age Limit (as on 01 January 2026)

  • Minimum Age: 18 years
  • Maximum Age (General / UR): 40 years
  • Maximum Age (MP Domicile SC / ST / OBC / EWS / Female / Govt Employees / Ex-Servicemen / PwD): 45 years (5-year relaxation)
  • Age relaxation is applicable as per MP Government General Administration Department rules.
  • Under no circumstances shall the maximum age exceed 45 years for any category (except contractual employees and certain specified categories).

Nationality and Domicile

  • Candidates must be Indian citizens.
  • Candidates who are not permanent residents of Madhya Pradesh can apply only against unreserved (Open) vacancies.

Other Conditions

  • Live registration at the Employment Office of Madhya Pradesh is mandatory for all candidates.
  • Candidates must not have more than two living children born on or after 26 January 2001.

Selection Process

  • Selection will be done through an Online Computer-Based Test (CBT) only.
  • There is no interview or physical test for this recruitment.
  • The merit list will be prepared based on Normalised Equi-Percentile (NEP) scaling, since the exam is conducted in multiple shifts.
  • Minimum qualifying marks: 50% for Unreserved candidates; 40% for SC / ST / OBC / EWS / PwD candidates (10% relaxation).
  • In case of equal percentile scores, preference will be given to the candidate with higher raw proportionate marks, followed by the older candidate (by date of birth).
  • Document verification and appointment order will be issued by the concerned department (Directorate of Public Health and Medical Education), not by MPESB.

Important Instructions for Candidates

Result and Merit List

After the exam, MPESB will publish the answer key on its website. Candidates can submit objections online within three days of answer key publication at Rs. 150/- per question. The final result and merit list will be prepared using the Normalised Equi-Percentile (NEP) method and uploaded on the official MPESB website at esb.mp.gov.in. A waiting list of 15% of total posts will also be prepared. The merit list remains valid for one year from the date of result declaration or until a new result is declared, whichever comes first.
