About JILCCE-2026 Recruitment

The last date for online application submission is treated as the reference date for determining educational qualification. Candidates who do not hold the prescribed qualification by that date will be considered ineligible.
Age Limit
The minimum age for all posts is 18 years. The maximum age limit, as fixed by the Personnel, Administrative Reforms and Rajbhasha Department's resolution dated 2 January 2026, is as follows:
- Unreserved: 35 years
- Economically Weaker Section (EWS): 35 years
- Extremely Backward Class (Schedule-1) and Backward Class (Schedule-2), male: 37 years
- Women (Unreserved, EWS, EBC-I, BC-II): 38 years
- Scheduled Tribe/Scheduled Caste (male and female): 40 years
Persons with disabilities in all categories get an additional 10 years of relaxation in the upper age limit, provided their disability is 40 percent or more and certified in the prescribed format. Ex-servicemen get an additional 5 years of relaxation. A candidate can avail only one of these two relaxations, not both.
Age is calculated with reference to different dates depending on the post: 1 August 2023 for Health Supervisor, Multipurpose Health Worker, and Veterinary Assistant/Medical Assistant; 1 August 2024 for Insect Collector and Fisheries Technical Assistant; and 1 August 2025 for Junior Regional Investigator.
Selection Process
Selection for JILCCE-2026 will be made through a two-tier examination process:
- Preliminary Examination: Held generally only if the number of applications is 50,000 or more. If applications are fewer, the Commission may decide to conduct the Main Examination directly.
- Main Examination: Conducted for all candidates shortlisted through the preliminary stage (or directly, if no preliminary exam is held), consisting of three papers.
All questions in both stages are objective, multiple-choice type, carrying 3 marks each, with a penalty of 1 mark for every wrong answer. The medium of the examination is Hindi and English.

- Note down the registration number and password sent to your registered mobile number and email address, and keep them safe for future logins.
- Log in again using your registration number and password, and fill in your detailed personal, educational, and category information, using Save and Continue on each page.
- Pay the examination fee online, then upload your scanned passport-size photograph and full signature as per the specified format.
- Check the uploaded photo and signature carefully, submit the application form, and download or print a copy for your own records.
Candidates should note that once the final application is submitted, corrections to most fields are allowed only during the correction window from 21 August 2026 to 23 August 2026. Name, date of birth, email ID, and mobile number cannot be changed during this window. If a candidate submits more than one application, only the most recently submitted one will be treated as valid, and the fee paid for earlier applications will not be refunded.
