Professor - Eligibility

Candidates must fulfill either Option A or Option B:

  • Option A: Ph.D. in the concerned/relevant discipline. Minimum 10 research publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals with a total research score of 120. Minimum 10 years of teaching/research experience as Assistant/Associate/Professor at University or National Level Institution with evidence of guiding doctoral candidates.
  • Option B: An outstanding professional with Ph.D. from any academic institution or industry who has made significant contribution to knowledge in the field, supported by documentary evidence, with ten years of experience.

Associate Professor - Eligibility

  • Ph.D. degree in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline with a good academic record.
  • Master's Degree with at least 55% marks.
  • Minimum 8 years of teaching/research experience at the level of Assistant Professor or equivalent with at least 7 publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals and a total research score of 75.

Assistant Professor - Eligibility

  • Option A: Master's degree with 55% marks in the relevant subject. Must have cleared UGC-NET or CSIR-NET or SLET/SET. Candidates with Ph.D. awarded as per UGC Regulations 2009 or 2016 may be exempted from NET/SLET/SET.
  • Option B: Ph.D. degree obtained from a foreign university ranked in the top 500 in the World University Rankings (QS, THE, or ARWU).

Selection Process

  • Step 1 - Application Screening: All applications will be screened by a Screening Committee. Only short-listed candidates will be called for interview.
  • Step 2 - Short-listing Criteria: For Assistant Professor posts, the Academic score as given in Appendix II (Table 3A) is used for short-listing purposes only.
  • Step 3 - Interview: Final selection for all categories (Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor) is based solely on performance in the personal interview.
