The selection process for ISRO ISTRAC Recruitment 2026 involves three stages:
Stage 1: Initial Screening
- Based on academic performance and other parameters provided in the online application.

- Syllabus for Written Test/CBT is curriculum based.

Stage 3: Skill Test
- Based on Written Test/CBT performance, candidates will be shortlisted for Skill Test in a 1:5 ratio (with a minimum of 10 candidates).
- Skill Test is conducted only in Bengaluru.
- For Technician-B, Draughtsman-B, Technical Assistant, Scientific Assistant, and Library Assistant-A: Skill Test is of qualifying (go-no-go) nature - conducted for 100 marks.
- For Cook-A: Skill Test is qualifying in nature; candidates must score a minimum of 60 out of 100 marks.
- Final selection is based on Written Test/CBT marks from among candidates who qualify the Skill Test.
- Outstation candidates shortlisted for Skill Test will be paid Travelling Allowance (TA) equal to Second Class Sleeper Railway fare (or Non-A/C Bus fare, whichever is less) on production of proof of journey.
Note on No Objection Certificate (NOC): Candidates currently employed in Central/State Government, PSUs, or autonomous bodies must submit an NOC from their employer at the time of Skill Test. Failure to produce the original NOC will result in disqualification from the Skill Test and no TA will be paid.
Place of Posting
Selected candidates may be required to perform duties at one or more technical facilities of ISTRAC or Master Control Facility (MCF) as indicated in the vacancy table. The appointment carries liability to be posted anywhere in India under the control of the Department of Space / ISRO. Appointees may also be required to work in round-the-clock shifts.
