Pay Scale and CTC

CTC includes Basic Pay, DA, HRA, Retirement Benefits, Cafeteria Allowance, Performance Related Pay (PRP), and other perks. Selected candidates will also be entitled to Medical Facilities, Gratuity, Leave Encashment, and other benefits as per IRFC policy. Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

• Assistant (Post Code 01 – NE5 Level): Three-year Bachelor's Degree in Commerce from a recognized University/Institute with minimum 60% marks, AND Intermediate Examination passed from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) or Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICMAI).
• Assistant Manager/Finance (Post Code 02 – E1 Level): Three-year Bachelor's Degree in Commerce from a recognized University/Institute with minimum 60% marks, AND Qualified CA/CMA from ICAI/ICMAI. OR Two-year Regular MBA (Finance)/Post Graduation Diploma in Management (Finance) from a recognized University/Institute.
• Candidates must possess the essential qualification as on the closing date i.e. 01.05.2026. Appearing candidates or those awaiting final results are NOT eligible.

Age Limit

• Minimum Age: 18 years
• Maximum Age: 30 years
• Age will be reckoned as on 01.01.2026.
• Age relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST; 3 years for OBC-NCL; 10 years for PwBD (15 years for PwBD-SC/ST; 13 years for PwBD-OBC-NCL).
• For Ex-Servicemen: UR/EWS – 3 years; OBC-NCL – 6 years; SC/ST – 8 years (after deduction of length of service from age).
• For regular IRFC employees: 8 years relaxation.
• Maximum upper age should not exceed 56 years after all relaxations.

Selection Process

For Post Code 02 (AM Finance), final merit will be prepared by giving weightage of 80% to CBT marks and 20% to Interview marks. Candidates up to 3 times the number of vacancies (community-wise) will be called for Interview. For Post Code 01, candidates equal to the number of vacancies (community-wise) will be called for Document Verification based on CBT merit.

Examination Structure (CBT)

Exam duration is 90 minutes (120 minutes for eligible PwBD candidates with Scribe). There is negative marking of 1/4 mark for each wrong answer. Minimum qualifying marks: UR/EWS – 40%; SC/OBC-NCL – 30%; ST – 25%. The question paper is set in English and Hindi both. CBT may be held at Delhi/NCR, Kolkata, Mumbai, and Chennai.

Service Bond

• Assistant (NE5 Level): Service Bond of Rs. 2 Lakh plus GST to serve IRFC for a minimum of 2 years from the date of joining.
• Assistant Manager/Finance (E1 Level): Service Bond of Rs. 3 Lakh plus GST to serve IRFC for a minimum of 2 years from the date of joining.
• Selected candidates will be on probation for one year from the date of joining.
