Physical Standards

Medical Standards

• Normal hearing, able to hear a forced whisper from 6 meters with each ear separately.
• Healthy gums, good teeth and minimum 14 dental points; fixed or removable orthodontic appliances make a candidate unfit.
• Candidate should be free from active, latent, acute or chronic disease, infection or skin ailments.

Phase I: Online Examination Pattern

• One mark is awarded for every correct answer.
• No marks are given for an unattempted question.
• 0.25 marks are deducted for every wrong answer.

• Candidates must qualify each paper individually in Science and Other Than Science subjects.

Pay, Allowances And Seva Nidhi Package

Agniveervayu enrolled under this scheme will get a monthly package along with risk, hardship, dress and travel allowances. A part of the monthly package goes into the Seva Nidhi Corpus, matched by the Government of India.

On exit after four years, an Agniveervayu will receive approximately Rs 10.04 Lakhs as the Seva Nidhi Package, excluding interest. Agniveervayu are also covered by a non-contributory Life Insurance of Rs 48 Lakhs during the engagement period. There is no entitlement to gratuity or any pensionary benefits, and Agniveervayu will not be governed by Pension Regulations for the Indian Air Force.
