Eligibility Criteria For IAF Airmen Recruitment

Nationality And Marital Status

Only male Indian citizens and Gorkha subjects of Nepal can apply. Candidates must meet the marital status and birth date conditions given below.

Age Limit

The upper age limit at the time of enrolment is 21 years for candidates with 10+2 or equivalent qualification, and 24 years for candidates holding a Diploma, B.Pharma or B.Sc in Pharmacy.

Educational Qualification For This Trade

• Passed 10+2 or Intermediate examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English from a recognised Board, with minimum 50 percent marks in aggregate and 50 percent marks in English.
• Or completed a two-year Vocational Course with non-vocational subjects, that is Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English, with the same minimum marks.
• Candidates with a Diploma, B.Pharma or B.Sc in Pharmacy must also have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English at 50 percent aggregate and 50 percent English, along with 50 percent marks in the Diploma or Pharmacy course and valid registration with the State Pharmacy Council or Pharmacy Council of India at the time of enrolment.

Physical And Medical Standards

General health standards require candidates to be free from any active or chronic medical or surgical disability. IAF Airmen Selection Process

This recruitment follows a three phase Selection Process, and every candidate must qualify each stage before moving to the next.

Phase-I: Online Test

The Phase-I Online Test is objective type, bilingual in English and Hindi except for the English paper, and lasts 45 minutes. It covers English as per the 10+2 CBSE syllabus and Reasoning and General Awareness.

Candidates who clear Phase-II undergo a detailed Medical Examination as per Indian Air Force standards, including blood tests, urine tests, chest radiograph and ECG.
