Note: Candidates scoring less than 30% in the written exam will be disqualified from appearing in the Physical Efficiency Test. Males jumping less than 4 feet and females jumping less than 3 feet will be disqualified.
Important: A candidate who completes the running event within the stipulated time but fails to meet the minimum qualifying standard in Shot Put or High Jump will be disqualified and will not be allowed to participate in other events. Candidates must qualify in each event separately.
Merit List and Final Recommendation
The final merit list (Cut Off) will be prepared exclusively on the basis of marks obtained in the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) - combining Running, Shot Put, and High Jump scores.
- In case of tie in PET marks, priority will be given to the older candidate (higher age).
- If age is also equal, the candidate with higher educational qualification will be ranked higher.
- If educational qualification is also equal, alphabetical order (English) of the name as per 10th board certificate will be used.
- Final selected candidates will be recommended by BPSSC to the Commandant-General, Home Guard and Fire Services, Bihar, Patna for appointment.
Medical Check, Character Verification, and Appointment
Before final appointment, all selected candidates will undergo a medical examination and character/antecedent verification as per the prescribed rules. If any adverse report is found or if a candidate has concealed facts, their candidature will be cancelled. Married female candidates found to be pregnant during the running/physical test will not be allowed to participate and will be declared ineligible on medical grounds. A declaration of non-pregnancy is required from married female applicants.
The entire selection process may take approximately 6 months to complete. Candidates must remain available for the written exam, physical test, and document verification throughout this period.
