Bihar CET B.Ed 2026 Eligibility Criteria

For Two-Year B.Ed. Programme

• Candidates with at least 50% marks in Bachelor's Degree (10+2+3) OR in Master's Degree in Sciences / Social Sciences / Humanities / Commerce.
• Bachelor's in Engineering / Technology (B.E./B.Tech.) with specialisation in Science and Mathematics with at least 55% marks.
• Any other qualification equivalent to the above.

For Shiksha Shastri (B.Ed.) Programme

• Option A: At least 50% marks in Bachelor's Degree (10+2+3) with Sanskrit as the main subject (Shastri or B.A.) AND Master's Degree in Sanskrit / Acharya in traditional Sanskrit Shastra with 50% marks, or any equivalent qualification.
• Option B: Minimum 50% marks in Two-Year Shastri or B.A. (including Sanskrit) AND Acharya (First Year) or M.A. (First Year in Sanskrit). OR candidates with 50% in Two-Year Shastri/B.A. (Sanskrit) must complete a one-year bridge course to become eligible.
• Note: Marks of Acharya First Year / M.A. First Year and Bridge Course are NOT added to determine the minimum 50% aggregate.

Domicile and Reservation

• Bihar residents must upload a residential certificate and select Bihar as domicile. Non-Bihar candidates will not receive any reservation benefits and must apply under Unreserved (UR) category.
• Candidates from BC or EBC category falling under Creamy Layer will be treated as Unreserved (UR) category.
• Divyaang candidates must upload a certificate issued by the Chief Medical Officer or a duly constituted board.
• Service Men's Quota (SMQ) benefits are available only to Bihar residents and their son or unmarried daughter.

Bihar CET B.Ed 2026 Exam Pattern

• Exam Duration: 2 Hours
• Mode: Offline — OMR Sheet using blue/black ball point pen
• Question Type: MCQ with 4 options each
• Marking: +1 for each correct answer. No Negative Marking.

Note: There is no negative marking in CET-B.Ed. 2026. Qualifying the exam does not guarantee admission — final admission is subject to original document verification.

Bihar CET B.Ed 2026 Exam Centre Cities

The entrance test will be conducted in 11 cities across Bihar. Candidates must choose 3 city preferences while applying. The actual allotted centre may differ from the cities chosen. No request to change the exam centre will be entertained.

Special Note: For Shiksha Shastri candidates, Darbhanga is the only exam centre city.

How to Apply for Bihar CET B.Ed 2026 Combined Entrance Test

1. Visit the official website biharcetbed-brabu.in and register by filling in your personal details. Upload your recent passport-size colour photograph and signature in JPEG format (max 100 KB each). Your Email ID will be your Login ID for CET-B.Ed. 2026.
2. Activate and validate your registration through the link sent to your Email and the Activation Code sent to your Mobile Number. After activation, login again using your Email ID and password.
3. Click on My Application in your Dashboard and fill in Applicant Details including personal information. Carefully select your Gender, Domicile, and Category as these cannot be changed after fee payment.
4. Upload your educational documents including Matriculation, Intermediate, Graduation, and Postgraduation mark sheets in JPEG format. Also upload your Aadhaar Card and applicable certificates such as Caste Certificate, Divyang Certificate, or SMQ Certificate.
5. Choose three cities for your Examination Centre in order of preference. Note that Darbhanga is the only city for Shiksha Shastri candidates. The allotted centre may not necessarily be from the cities chosen by you.
6. Preview your complete Application Form carefully and edit if required. Once you click Confirm, no further changes can be made to any entry in the application form.
7. After confirming, click on Proceed to Payment and pay the application fee online via Net Banking, Credit Card, Debit Card, or UPI. Fee: General/UR: Rs. 1000/-, Divyang/EBC/BC/Women/EWS: Rs. 750/-, SC/ST: Rs. 500/-.
8. After successful payment, take a printout of the complete Application Form and keep it safely for future reference. Do not send the printout to B. R. Ambedkar Bihar University or anywhere else.
