Eligibility Criteria

Cut-Off Date for eligibility is 01 April 2026.

Educational Qualification

  • Degree in any discipline from a recognized University, or equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government.
  • Educational qualifications must be from a college/institution/university recognized by the Government of India or Govt. regulatory bodies/AICTE.

Sports Qualification

  • Should have represented a State/U.T./country in National/International competition; OR
  • Medal winner in Junior National Championships; OR
  • Medal winner in Khelo India Youth Games (age category above 18 years), Khelo India Winter Games, or Khelo India Para Games; OR
  • Medal winner in Khelo India University Games; OR
  • Medal winner in School Games Federation of India (SGFI) in the relevant sport; OR
  • Represented their University in Inter-University Tournaments conducted by the Inter-University Sports Boards in the relevant sport; OR
  • Represented the State/U.T. School Team in National Sports/Games for Schools conducted by the All India School Games Federation in the relevant sport.

Age Limit

  • Minimum Age: 20 years
  • Maximum Age: 28 years (as on 01.04.2026)
  • Age Relaxation for General/EWS meritorious sportspersons: 5 years (total 5 years)
  • Age Relaxation for SC/ST: 5 years (category) + 5 years (sportsperson) = 10 years total
  • Age Relaxation for OBC (NCL): 3 years (category) + 5 years (sportsperson) = 8 years total

Credit History

  • A minimum CIBIL score of 680 or above is required at the time of joining.
  • Candidates who have defaulted on loan or credit card dues will be deemed ineligible.

Scale of Pay

Starting basic pay: Rs. 24050/-. The pay scale progresses as follows: 24050 – 1340/3 – 28070 – 1650/3 – 33020 – 2000/4 – 41020 – 2340/7 – 57400 – 4400/1 – 61800 – 2680/1 – 64480 (over 20 years). Salary and other emoluments will be governed by the banking sector bipartite settlement and Bank's policies.

Probation Period

Selected candidates will be on probation for 6 months of active service from the date of joining.

Selection Process

  • Step 1: Shortlisting/Screening of applications based on eligibility criteria.
  • Step 2: Field Trials for shortlisted candidates at designated venues.
  • The Bank reserves the right to change, cancel, or modify the selection criteria at its sole discretion.
  • Meeting minimum eligibility criteria does not guarantee a call for Field Trials.
  • Field Trial venue, date, and time will be communicated via call letter sent to the registered email ID.
  • No request for change of date, time, or venue for Field Trials will be entertained.

Other Conditions for Recruited Sportspersons

  • Selected candidates must be an active sportsperson at the time of appointment and must be fit to participate in future tournaments.
  • Recruited sportspersons will be required to play for the Bank's team whenever required.
  • Prior permission must be obtained from the Bank to participate in State/National/International events outside the Bank's team.
  • A written undertaking to this effect must be given at the time of appointment.
  • Only Indian Citizens are eligible for appointment.
